Elephant weighment started at Guruvayoor temple

It has been an age-old wish of Guruvayoor Devaswom board

authorities to take the weight of elephants and their feed at the
Guruvayoor Anakottai (Elephant fort). It is an essential requirement
to balance the feed according to the weight of an elephant. To
resolve this matter, Essae Digitronics Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore based
Indias largest weighbridge manufacturing company donated 60 MT
Electronic weigh-bridge as an offering to Sree Guruvayoorappan. The
inauguration function of the weighbridge was on 30th August 2021
during the Janmashtami day celebrations at Guruvayoor temple.
Tuskers Vinayakan followed by Ayyappankutty stepped into the
weighbridge with their right foot to perform the opening ceremony.
Weigh slips of 5700 kg and 4390 kg were generated for each of the
elephants. The function was officially inaugurated by Devaswom
Minister Sri. K Radhakrishnan, in the presence of Adv. K.B.Mohandas,
the Chairman of Guruvayoor Devaswom Board, Mr.M.Krishnadas,
Municipal Chairman,Mr.N K Akbar, M L A and Mr.Prakash
Venkatesan , CEO of Essae Digitronics Pvt. Ltd.
