Case 1
A 21-year-old female presented with a dental abscess requiring surgical debridement and is in
your office today for a pre-operative clearance. A routine ECG showed slurred upstroke of the
QRS complexes and denies any cardiac related symptoms. What is your diagnosis? What is
the treatment plan?
Case 2:
A 34-year-old man presented for a work physical for his new job as a crane operator. He is a
healthy individual, no previous medical history, no current medications, denies smoking or
alcohol intake. He reports being a member of a health club and exercises frequently. No family
history of cardiac disease. BP today is 178/94, Prior visit 1 month ago BP was 168/90. All other
vitals WNL. What is your diagnosis? What is the treatment plan?
