PROJECTS
Project detail:
After the end of each Trading Day it is necessary to run the EOD process in order to create a
snapshot of the positions held by the business. The business expects the EOD process to be
complete and reports and all other outputs available for the start of the next trading day. In the
EOD process the completion of one task triggers the start of the next one. The whole EOD process
can fail if a task crashes or if the data entered has some issues hence the need of Out of Hours
(OOH) support who actively monitor the process and work on the tickets, workflow failures to
ensure that it completes successfully. All output from each EOD process is manually saved to
sharepoint by Risk Team. This data (Mark to Market, profit and loss, Delta exposures, overall
volumetric and financial position reports) is used by Traders, Risk Analysts and Deal owners in
order to validate their positions and any change/amendments made to their trades from one day
to the next.

Roles and Responsibilities:

 Responsible for providing the support in L2 level depending on the priority of the
issues to meet client’s SLA.
 Daily jobs include monitoring the application, data flow, solving daily issues.
 Proactively monitor & resolve all the P1/P2/P3/P4 tickets in our queue.
 Coordinating with various interface systems on resolving their issues.
 Used CRONTAB tool for scheduling the job and monitor the alerts.
 Responsible for bulk data changes as per the user requirement.
 Responsible for data loadings as per their schedule timings (Daily, Weekly &
monthly).
 Creation of user and providing necessary privileges.
 Table and schema level refresh on lower enviornments.
 Execute some shell scripts to make support work easier.
 Developing complex SQL queries for extensive data extraction on user request and
criteria.
 Responsible for data cleanup in accordance with the business rules.
 Support for UAT.
 Coordination with different stakeholders for resolution of issues at all levels.
 Use of Remedy Incident management system/Change Management system.
 On Call rotation 24x7 to handle page outs for any production issues.
 Providing work around in the form of data fix .Data fixing involves writing PL/SQL
scripts & SQL, which would cater the needs of business.
 Participate in internal meetings to discuss the status of the application.
 Status update to the customer.
