Labasbas Weekly Reflection (5)

Grade 12 – Unity Ms. Sybill Anne Protacio

What is your reflection for this week's mass/worship/experiences?

In today's reflection, December 19, 2021. Sunday of the Fourth Week of Advent.
The Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe Year B. Gospel Luke
1:39-45. In today's Gospel is all about the visitation of the blessed virgin mary with her
son Jesus in her womb to her cousin Saint Elizabeth who was Saint John in her womb
Saint Elizabeth was humbled and surprised by Mary's visit Elizabeth was already aware
of the presence of Jesus in Mary's womb. Thus, she exclaimed, how does this happen
to me? that the mother of my Lord should come to me. The lover Jesus goes out of
himself to Mary to visit his aunt and cousin Elizabeth and John, who live for joy due to
the vision of the satisfaction. We share is not joy wasted continue to be a bearer of joy
the blessedness of life of this person-favored Saint Elizabeth and the blessed virgin
mary in their ordinary life is the focus of Gospel today. As well as they were blessed
because of God's favor, they were also favored particularly privileged with the gift of the
holy spirit; the heavenly joy to experience inner joy is a great blessing joy is not the
absence of tears. Joy is the acceptance of the blessed life with God. Without the
pleasure of pride, our life will be lonely and sad; the satisfaction that the word offers is
shallow and not permanent. Yes, we will enjoy it for a moment, but it will not assure us
only throughout our entire life. Last, Jesus, the cause of our joy in the system of admin,
will surprise what we need in our life. The joy that the Lord gives enables us to see
through every pain in our respective life and feel blessed.
