1. Infant (line 5 – 6) – As a child we always cry and needs an attention and care. That’s why when
we need something we cry and cry.
2. School boy (line 7 – 9) – The second stage we are all afraid of. At first, school is not familiar to
us until we are getting older and realizing it as a second home.
3. Lover (line 9 – 11) – The meaning of lover in this stage is not just lover. Because, we are still
reaching our goals and loving the ones who care for us most of the time.
4. Soldier (line 11 - 15) – We set our fights and oaths to the times we are in work to give back what
your family gives to you. We still reaching our goals but we don’t have time to enjoy every
moment because of the focused in work.
5. Justice (line 15 – 19) – This is where we find peace and finish the goals we are reaching before.
We rely on what should be fun and waste our money on.
6. Pantaloons (lines 20 – 25) – The time where we don’t walk straight and spend time with the
rocking chair waiting for the time we are going to be kid. Just like, remembering the things you
have when you are an infant.
7. Second childishness (lines 25 – 28) – The part we are hopelessness and beginning to have
complication that will cause for us to give up on our life. Life was fun after all that happen to us
and now the only thing left is memory.

dream—and not make dreams your master” it means that we dream to success not to fail the what
your goals. He also points out that we are the one who play our part to be an independent person.
But, as we grow up, we need to specify or balance the things we have even the world look back on
you. You will still stand and believe to yourself as if you are the one who will the wheel move.

The one who is speaking is Rudyard Kipling, from the lines “Yours is the Earth and everything that’s
