Method #1: Watch TV series with subtitles in your native language (not good)
Method #2: Watch TV series with English subtitles
watch a show with subtitles in your language first (to learn the plot), then watch it again with English
subtitles to learn the vocabulary.
Method #3: Watch TV series without subtitles
Method 3.1: Watch with subtitles first
Watch a show with English subtitles first to learn the plot details, then watch it again without the
subtitles.
Method 3.2: Watch without subtitles first
Watch the first scene (or dialogue) without subtitles. Listen carefully. Do you best to understand what the
actors are saying.
If you can understand the scene quite well, that’s great! Continue watching with no subtitles.
But if you don’t understand some parts of it, turn on the English subtitles and watch it again. After that,
move on to the next scene and repeat the process.
Method #4: Imitate the actors
When an actor speaks, pause the video and repeat what you hear. Try to say the line in the exact same
way, with the same pronunciation. (You can even copy the body language and facial expressions.)

How to Improve English Reading Skills (Become a Master Reader)
https://engfluent.com/how-to-improve-english-reading-skills/
Step 1: Read Material That You Actually Enjoy
+Nonfiction books about topics you like (self-improvement, dating, programming, beauty, health,
history).
+Novels in your favorite genres (fantasy, romance, mysteries, adventure).
+Best-selling books. (If a book sells really well, it’s probably good.)
Step 2: Read Books Instead of Online Articles
Step 3: Develop the Habit of Reading
Read every day (during little moments throughout the day and also before bed.)
Step 4: Replace Reading Your Native Language with Reading English
If you follow Facebook pages, YouTube channels, and forums in your native language, replace them with
similar pages/channels/forums in English.
Step 5: Don’t Fuss Over Reading the Right Way
There’s no right or wrong way read. Just do what feels natural to you.
In fact, you can use different reading styles depending on the material (and your mood at the time).
At least that’s what I do. Sometimes I read for the main idea without looking up every new word. I do this
when I’m reading something fun (like a novel) and want to enjoy it fully. My goal is to get immersed in
the book, so learning vocabulary is not a priority here. (I look up only words that seem important.)
Other times I read more slowly and look up every word I don’t know. I take time to make sure I
understand every small detail.
And there have been plenty of times where I left a book unfinished because I’d lost interest.
Step 6. Use Memory Techniques to Remember Vocabulary Better https://engfluent.com/how-to-
remember-english-vocabulary/
Step 7: Vary Your Reading Material
+If you’ve been reading books for children (with basic vocabulary), switch to reading books for young
adults, then books for adults.
+Read books on various topics. Books on the same topic tend to have similar subsets of English
vocabulary. Reading new topics is a great way to expose yourself to new sets of vocabulary.
+If you’ve been reading only nonfiction books, give fiction books a try (and vice versa).
My Note: 1. Chưa tìm ra book thích hợp vơi trình độ để ít tra từ
2. Thay thế những trang mạng nội dụng thành English (đang làm từ từ vẫn chưa đủ trình)
3. Nên thoải mái đọc k buộc hiểu hết ??

How to Learn English Grammar (Step by Step)
https://engfluent.com/how-to-learn-english-grammar/
Approach #1: Studying Grammar (Not Good)
Approach #2: Listening & Reading in English
When you listen or read in English, be sure to focus on the meaning of what you’re listening or reading.
Don’t think about grammar rules. Don’t try to analyze the sentence structure. Don’t try to understand why
a particular tense is used instead of some other tense.
Focus on the meaning, not grammar. Let your amazing brain learn English grammar “behind the scene”
without your conscious attention.

My note: Mục tiêu vẫn học Grammar vì career nhưng không đặt quá nặng

Best Books to Read to Improve Your English (Novels & Nonfiction)
https://engfluent.com/english-reading-material/
Here are the novels that I recommend:
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (Fantasy) — The first book of the magical Harry Potter series.
I’ve reread these books so many times. The first two books are easy to read and perfect for novice
readers, whereas the later books are more mature and suitable for intermediates.)
Angel and Demon & The Da Vinci Code (mystery thriller) — The first two books of the controversial
Robert Langdon series. There are more novels in the series but I didn’t like them much. (I feel like the
author kept using the same plot structure.) But these first two kept me up all night!
Ender’s Game (sci-fi) — This novel is about a genius boy who is recruited into a battle school where he
has to undergo military training to become the commander of a war against aliens. If you like a story
where the main character is highly intelligent, you’ll love this book.
The Compound Effect — Every day, we all have to make many decisions like whether to read a book or
browse social media, whether to learn English or play games. These decisions will determine your
success or failure. This book will help you make better decisions. It will teach you the importance of
every choice you make no matter how small it seems.
Mini Habits: Smaller Habits, Bigger Results — To improve your English, you need to develop some good
habits like listening, reading, and practicing English. This book will teach you how to develop these
habits.
Mindset: The New Psychology of Success — According to this book, there are two types of people: 1)
people with “a fixed mindset” who believe their abilities can’t be changed and 2) people with “a growth
mindset” who think that abilities can be improved. Your success in life depends on which mindset you
have.
The Success Principles — This book will teach you how to succeed at anything you set your mind to do
(such as improving your English). Many of the ideas in this book are truly powerful and life changing.
Definitely a good read.
Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future — A biography of Elon Musk, one of the
world’s most influential persons today. This guy achieved feats that many thought impossible. A truly
admirable person.
