2. Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival International Ice and Snow Festival is held every year between January 5
to February 5 in Harbin, in northeastern China. sculptures made from snow and ice, buildings, hills, these
colorful and huge space showcasing the latest laser technology of castles, used one of the oldest ice
carving techniques. Origin of this wonderful festival goes until 1963, he interrupted together with the
Cultural Revolution in 1966, but began to be held again in 1985. Burning Man in Black Rock Desert in
America held at the festival for those who want to cool off after a terrific alternative.

3. Holi Spring Festival The Holi Festival is the festival which is celebrated every year in India. It
commemorates the victory of good over evil, particularly the burning and destruction of a demoness
named Holika. Holi got its name as the "Festival of Colors"
Festival originated from the childhood antics of Lord Krishna, a reincarnation of Lord Vishnu, who liked to
play pranks on the village girls. He did pranks by drenching them in water and colors.
In some parts of India, this festival is also celebrated as a spring festival. It provides thanksgiving for an
abundant harvest season. Holi is celebrated in India the day after the full moon in March each year, so
during that festival you can enjoy India more colorful then usually.
4. Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival The Coachella Festival was held in 1999 in the state of
California. As the music lovers were very interested and interested in the festival, the festival became
traditional after that date. The festival, which lasted only 1 day in the first year and then spread to two
days, has been going on for 2 weeks starting on Friday and lasting 6 days in total.

5. "La Tomatina" is a Spanish festival which is held on the last wednesday of August in Valencia. In this
festival people throw tomatoes to each other for fun.

First festival was held in 1945. During the history it was banned several times but now it is still going on.
Since 2013 participants must have ticket for join. Every year about 150 tons of tomatoes were thrown in
festival.

Festival lasts around one hour and after one hour whole city and people are covered by tomatoes. Then
with firefighters starts to clean people and square with fire hose. Also some people go to “Los Peñones”
pool to wash their body.

6. Rio Festival The Coachella Festival was held in 1999 in the state of California. As the music lovers were
very interested and interested in the festival, the festival became traditional after that date. The festival,

7. Lantern Festival Lantern Festival, Lantern Festival, also called Yuan Xiao Festival, holiday celebrated in

of the lunar calendar. The Lantern Festival aims to promote reconciliation, peace, and forgiveness. The
holiday marks the first full moon of the new lunar year and the end of the Chinese New Year (see Lunar
New Year). During the festival, houses are festooned with colourful lanterns, often with riddles written on
them; if the riddle is answered correctly, the solver earns a small gift. Festival celebrations also include lion
and dragon dances, parades, and fireworks.
