Ciliwung River Overflows, 2 Villages Are Submerged by Floods As High as 3 Meters

There was a flash flood around the Ciliwung river, the flood was thought to be due to heavy rain
from 19.00 WIB to 09.00 WIB in the morning. 2 Villages were submerged and many families fled to
the neighboring village.

Around 137 heads of families lost their homes due to flooding. The government immediately
provided assistance in the form of shelters for clean water, food, drinks, medicines and clothing.

There was also a flood in this village about two years ago, but this year's flood was bigger than last
year's. One of the causes is also suspected to be due to the habit of the surrounding community who
litters in the Ciliwung river so that floods occur
