To whom it may concern,

It is a pleasure to write a glowing recommendation for Katie Page. I have had the
privilege of working with her for the 2021-2022 school year as the supervising
principal where she serves as the third-grade teacher and also as her mentor for her
administration competencies which she has been working on through Southern
Utah University. I cannot say enough good things about Katie, and I wholeheartedly
endorse her to become a school administrator and instructional leader.

Through observations in her classroom, patron feedback and analyzing student

performance data, I can easily say Katie is one of the best, if not the best, teachers I
have even seen. The quality of her instruction goes well beyond the average teacher.
The thoroughness of her planning and preparation contribute to high rates of
engagement and success from her students. More importantly, she knows how to
articulate, coach, and inspire others to reach for similar results. She elicits
confidence and respect from other educators, and I have observed her in
collaboration with other teachers to problem solve student learning, use data to
guide her decisions, and build consensus among others on how to improve
outcomes for all students. Katie understands how to differentiate learning for all
students and is keenly aware of the needs of all subgroups and the policies that
govern the free and appropriate education for all those groups.

Katie has a vision for her classroom and the school committees she serves on – and
she serves on many committees such as: family and community engagement,
community council, PBIS, and student council just to name a few. I have no doubt
she will be able to establish a clear and concise vision as an administrator, and
through her positive attitude, determination, and communication skill she will be
able to bring that vision to fruition and create a school climate and culture that is
grounded in continuous improvement and success.

Parents and teachers will always find Katie approachable, down-to-earth, fair,
reliable, and someone who genuinely cares. You cannot teach these skills. Katie
excels at the skills that can be taught, and she is incredibly intelligent, a student of
educational research and has shown during her competencies that she learns
quickly and adapts easily to new information and changes. Katie will be an
incredible administrator, and any community would be lucky to have her in their
service.
