To whom it may concern:

We are the previous owners and the current owner of a 2003 RX300 Lexus. Mr. Frank Cheng
and Mr. Ho Kam On Raymen respectively. We are hereby writing to express our unhappiness
about the service rendered on June 19th 2010 by K and L Auto repair at 14th Avenue Oakland,
CA 94606, and request the complete repair of our transmission. The information s as follows:

On June 19th at 8:30am our Lexus was towed to K and L Auto Repair through AAA Tow
Company and was left for repair after stating a main issue regarding the transmission. One
week later, they called to inform us the transmission was fixed. On July 17th, Mr. Frank Cheng
paid $2375, retrieved the car and signed for the complete repair of the transmission. At the
time, the woman who collected payment for the repair quoted a warranty for the part of 8,000
miles or one year, whichever came first. On the way home from the garage, the car died twice.
We used another Tow Company to tow the car back to our home in Richmond. A passed by Tow
Company told us that there was a tremendous amount of oil coming from the transmission.
One week later, on July 24th, the car was towed from our home, back to K and L Auto Repair. At
this time, they asked for $2500 to repair what now is said to be an engine issue. At this time,
we decided to take the Lexus to a different mechanic for an additional opinion before going
through with the additional expense of $2500. We towed the car back home, and found another
mechanic to address the issue at hand. He suggested diagnostic testing to figure whether the
issue was in fact the engine or the transmission. We then took the car to ________ Company to
do a transmission test. The diagnoses proved to be a transmission problem (see attached).
There was excessive transmission fluid coming from underneath the vehicle when parked. On
November 2nd, we towed the car back to K and L Auto Repair who again refused to repair the
issue. This is despite the diagnoses from ________ Company (see attachment).

We believe K and L Auto Repair should be responsible for the complete repair of the
transmission in our 2003 RX300 Lexus. On July 17th Mr. Frank Cheng signed off on the
complete repair of the Lexus. On ______date ______Company determined the transmission was
STILL broken and never been completely repaired and the issue was not one attributed to the
engine. We request either
1) Complete repair of the Lexus' transmission to be made by K and L Auto Repair at no
additional cost
2) A complete refund be made to Frank Cheng of $2375
3) Compensation paid to Frank Cheng for equivalent repair made by a different location/auto
repair company

If you believe additional inspections should be made, please send someone to investigate this
case. Pleased contact me with any questions or concerns at 1-415-691-0166 or 1-510-285-7514
