Major Dilemmas often faced by the organization


Somany is a tile manufacturing company which need the semi-skilled and skilled employees
for the production of their products. The level of study required in the employees is related
to the technology specific and IT background. The job opportunity is very high in this
business as the demand is less than any other industry which requires the same skill level of
employees.

1. The working Culture.


 The working culture of Somany company is not up to the mark and there is
work of field job in the front of manufacturing employees. There is no other
reasons and extra-curriculars from the side of the company to the employees
which demotivates them and abstain from retained in the company for the
long term.

2. Need of Tech Employees.


 The Company needs the tech employees for their production process. The IT
Skilled persons preferred IT companies and other companies which doesn’t
involve the field work in their daily job operations. The Tech employees hired
by the company does not retained in the job and switch their job to other
companies which have better working culture.

3. Cost and Time involved in training unskilled employees.


 The training cost involved and productive time of the company is very high to
develop the skills in unskilled employees. They are also switching to other
companies after getting trained for better job search.
 There is one more dilemma is that there is no surety of developing skills in
employees after getting training. Which lead to the waste of time and cost of
the company.

The recruitment process to suit the company’s requirements.


1. Lock-in Period.
The company recruit the Tech employees with the obligation of lock-in period of
minimum period which will retain the employee till specific duration.
The company also obliged the unskilled employees for lock-in period which help to
coverup the cost of training provided by the company.
2. Selective training and Trainer job.
The company would provide training to the specific employees who shows good
interest in the job work for further development and pay rise of the employees. The
company also assign the trainers job after completion of training of some employees
which will reduce the cost of the training to the employees.

3. Hiring more contractual workers.

The contractual workers don’t need much formalities for their Job work. they joined
the company for specific task and after that they leave the company. Which reduce
the other cost like: pension, incentives and other related costs which will be
profitable for the business.

4. Conversion of contractual to permanent.


The company offers the permanent job offers to contractual employees those
performed and provide training to them for placing at hire post.
