Program Overview & Expectations

_________________________________
Welcome to the Johnstown Milliken Online Academy! (JMOA) Below is
a brief overview of the program expectations. If a particular policy is not
listed, please reference the policy on the district website for your
child(ren)’s physical neighborhood school (LES, MES, PRE, MMS, RHS)

ATTENDANCE:
Students have a week to complete all assignments in the weekly folder on Buzz. If students have
not completed all assignments by Monday morning the following week you will be contacted by
your learning coach. If the work is not completed after two weeks from its original due date you
will be required to meet with your Learning Coach and Program Director for a meeting
regarding attendance.

RETAKES:
Students will be allowed to resubmit a written assignment, such as a work sheet or essay,
however the number of times the student is allowed to retry the assignment will be at teacher
discretion. The ability to retake a Module exam will also be at the discretion of the teacher.
Students will no longer be allowed to retake a quiz in their courses, instead we recommend
students use their resources when completing an auto-grated quiz. Students are encouraged to
use their notes, and utilize the save and exit tool. Students are able to save their progress within
their quiz and review the module before submitting the quiz. As always you are encouraged to
review any rubrics and/or assignment instructions before submitting any work.

PLAGIARISM:
Plagiarism in the JMOA will not be tolerated. All students will follow the policy of their
neighborhood school (LES, MES, PRE, MMS, RHS) regarding plagiarism.
