The objective of this Labster Simulation Experiment was to learn about the Ideal Gas Law.

At first, the
experimenters identified the different temperatures in an arbitrary temperature scale in the SI unit Aw.
They also learnt the equation that defines the connection between Aw and K which is Aw = 2 * K. Then,
they were introduced to the Boltzmann constant which is a physical constant that relates the average
kinetic energy of particles in a gas with the temperature of the gas. The equation for the Boltzmann
constant is KR = 1.38 x 10^-23 J/K. They were also introduced to Ideal Gas Law. This describes the
behavior of a real gas with a density low enough or temperature high enough that it is far from
liquefaction. The equation is pV=nkRT. Absolute zero is the existence of the lowest possible
temperature , or the minimum allowed by quantum mechanics. After learning the different definitions,
the experimenters started an experiment with the Gas Thermometry. Lots of materials was introduced
to the experimenters for them to use during the experiments, like the jar, gas tank, dipper, and etc.
After introducing the materials that are going to be used, they started the experiment. They took the
dipper and placed it into the three (3) reservoirs which are the boiling water, the ice water, and the
boiling nitrogen. The results were then presented in the P-T graph. The pressure in the tank was
atmospheric, the pressure in the vessel maintained in 750 torr to keep the temperature at 4 degrees
Celsius.
