 PR (Public Relations) is, doing TV shows, events with other business

 Marketing is SPREADSHEETS & Marketing plans, testing,

 TOUGH TIMES: DO NOT CUT BACK ON PR AND SALES!! UP IT!
 Train how to Sell, b/c can’t do Marketing or PR if you can’t sell
 GOT TO LEARN HOW TO COMMUNICATE.
 Poor people can’t communicate.
 To get successful at sales, INCREASE YOUR FAILURE RATE!
 The more you fail, the more your sales will go up!
 Combine this with INCREASING sales pitches / cold calls etc. so
statistically you have to get better!

 When investing in a company, have meeting with Head of Sales ONLY!
Have good wine
 They will give you best idea of market, opportunities and problems,
competition etc.
 You can learn all about the company, where the problems are buried etc.
 The CEO is a manager, guiding the ship, but NOT the be all or end all
 CEO’s can be replaced fairly easily.
 CEO’s often have to be told to get out of the way!
 Great leaders UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE NOT GOOD AT!
 Should be NO CAP on sales people at all
