1. How does English as Lingual franca
a. ELF affect this type of English for business purposes?
In my opinion ELF affects English for business that is, as it is often used as a
means of communication between non-native English speakers and also to
vaccinate the global language for communication and business transition.
b. ELF influences the purpose of Academis
In my opinion affects the type of English for academic purposes, because the
specific purpose of an approach in the teaching and use of English for a special
field and study that suits the needs of the field of science and the use of English
for example, English for legal science, medicine, pisikology, economics
techniques, etc. It is intended to prepare learning to use English either for
professional academic purposes or a work environment based on needs analysis.
c. ELF affects English for professional purposes
Because, the world's need for human resources who have English language skills
is now getting bigger. So in the professional scope will certainly be higher when
able to master a foreign language or English. For example, job opportunities are
greater, increase opportunities to develop careers, increase connections, access to
information, facilitate business travel, and raise awareness of outside cultures.
