CLASS PRESENTATIONS
Mock Exam
Design a lesson plan based on the PWP (pre-, while-, and post-activities) method and use an
example of authentic English-speaking/cultural materials. Your lesson plan should include the
following aspects:
— Language learner level (grade)
— Duration of the lesson (45 oder 90 mins)
— Skills and competences which students should acquire
— Learning objectives for the lesson as a whole
— Goals for all three (pre-, while-, post-) activity phases
— Procedure for all three activity phases
— Student-teacher/Student-student interaction and social forms
You will have to explain your design and justify your decisions at every step, including WHY you
chose the media type and how it contributes to the learning objectives. Make sure to address in
detail the criteria listed above and explain why taking these criteria into account is necessary when
designing and carrying out a lesson plan.
You will have 10 minutes to present your work to the class and there will be 5 minutes for answers.
So please, consider that when you are preparing the presentation.
Here you have some examples of authentic materials you can use as inspiration for your lesson
plan. But you can also choose your own!
