TRADING
1. Genesis matrix trading

*TF used: M5 and/ or M15, however the system works on all TF

*Market condition: works best in a trend rather than a ranging market

*MUST USE HEIKEN ASHI CANDLES!!!

*Repaint: while the M15 cangle is still in progress, the indicator may seem to repaint because the candle
is not closed yet.

The 'Extra matrix' that you see on some peoples charts is actually the Arrow(s) represented in a Matrix.

The 'Extra matrix' is named the ASCTrend and it can be found on the thread of Xaphod here => the code
of ASCTrend is much more efficient than the Arrow code. But two still work great, you can choose which
you prefer.

Trade only the Frankfurt market open (1h before London open) until 2 or 3h after NY open. The asia
market are too slow and prone to small movements.

1. Entry SELL

- The matrix is all the same colour after the current candle is closed, ie, Matrix cannot repaint

- Stochastic is falling from a recent overbought state

- A bear candle has opened under the Yellow 5 EMA

- The Arrow.. now I don't always wait for the arrow because in a sudden PA reversal it may be late .. but if
an arrow doesnt arrive within the next couple of candles, I become concerned!

2. EXIT

- exit at a support/ resistance line. This could be a pivot line, a previous high/ low area, a round number,
price began to move above the Yellow 5 EMA, big doji candle, stochastic began to climb, price has began
to stall etc.

3. SL: previous swing high đối với short, never let the stop loss idle, mannually exit a trade when price
start to entering the opposite way!

4. TP: dont use a set TP (maybe trailing stop); for instance, if I enter a short just under the daily pivot,
my initial target will be S1, unless there is any other support line that comes along first. When (and if) S1
is reached, I will target S2, or some support line that may come first... like a round number or previous
support area...

Q1 & A1:
Quoting frontline141

what will you do the the matrix signal shows a opposite signal to your trade

- when you're not in profit ?

will you just close the trade? will you going in a new trade?

Well, if it is a proper "signal", ie Matrix is complete the other colour, oh yeah....I will exit for
sure.....in fact I probably already did! If the reversal is a strong one, I will look for the same
conditions as in post 2 and enter. If the reversal is against the trend, I will probably wait and see if
the trend resumes, and look to re-enter.

Generally speaking, I start manually trailing my trades from about +20 onwards. So when a trade is in
profit by at least 20 pips, I will move my SL to break even and eliminate the risk. As we get further
on in the thread you will see this in action.

Quoting frontline141
- when you are in profit ? you will just let the trade run / close it ?

Depends. If the counter move is just the market 'breathing', then I will let it go. If it seems like a full
blooded reversal, then I will exit. It's a tough call and one that only comes with experience.

Quoting frontline141
and you will take the actions when
- there is full opposite signal?
- only TVI signal?
- any of the matrix square?
thanks !

It's combination of some Matrix signals, but mostly it depends on the Stochastic and what caused the
reversal. Was it just a bounce of the Pivot like we have just seen? Was it because Bernanke was
running his mouth? The reason for the reversal, if indeed it is a reversal, should let us know what to
do.

Sometimes, there are counter trend trades that I will will take. If we get a full opposite signal....ie
Matrix + Stochastic + Yellow 5EMS + Candle opening clear under/over the Yellow 5 MA and
there is no reason NOT to enter.....like a pivot/round number etc.....then I will enter the counter
trend trade...BUT.....I will move my SL to break even pretty smartly to protect myself.

In cases like that where its a downtrend and bounces at the pivot it will usually re-test it if it is going
to carry on up, so I wait to see the retest before going against the trend of the moment, if it
had re-tested then another buy signal I would have gone in. If there is no re-
test and it just carries on going up then I've missed it and I don't worry about it.

Thanks from me too on this - do you trade solely off the 5min signals?

Yes I do, I used to trade H1 and M5 separately and treat them separately, but I just use
M5 now, it gives more than enough pips. I've never traded the 60-5 method because I
found if you wait for H1 and then go into an M5 trade because of it you are very often
too late as M5 will make its move first. And yes, an excellent morning so far

DEMO#1

About ATR:

One of my pet hates is a messy chart....it's just me....others can happily trade with many indicators
on their chart. There is a very important indicator that I use, and it is the ATR indicator. The Average
True Range. I have this on an M15 chart because I want to see more of the trend, and I can have the
indi here without cluttering up my M5 chart.

ATR indi's purpose it to show us how far the PA has come today, and how much more the PA is likely
to move. For instance, if the Average True Range of the EU pair for today is 150 pips, and the
movement today is already 145 pips (which the indi will show), then it might not be too
smart to enter another trade on that pair today.....unless.....there is a very good signal to do
so. And if there is, keep the SL tight...just in case.

Below is a screenshot of what it looks like, but I'll let Olivia explain it because she is good with it, and
I will get some more pips while she's yappin!

Don't worry, mine are still moving nicely. This is the ATR indie I prefer, you can't change any of the
inputs except the colour (which you'll need to do if you have a black chart) If you hover over the lines,
you will see when the day starts that above the price is high 2 then above that high1 then below price
you have low 2 and low 1 in that order. When price reaches one of the lines for instance, on EJ now,
price has reached and gone through Low 2 and Low 1, it then brings the High lines down to show
where (if it now turns around) price is likely to reach the other way. I find it very useful, the lines very
often act in the same was as S/R do and of course can break through on a good day just as price
breaks through s/r.
