Questions for Soybean

1. Does Wilmar Indonesia only import yellow soybeans? Or do we (or possibly other
competitors) import other variants such as black soybeans?
2. By following the inspection of US-based soybeans, we interpreted that for grade 1
soybeans, 86% that will be sold as food products ingredients, remaining 12% will either
be used to make FFS/Soybean Meal. Are our presumptions correct?
 We provide you with a possible scenario of allocating grade 2 soybean seeds in
the following way. Does this visualization make sense? (Picture below – left side)
 If the semi-processed material used for SBO comes from FFS (grade 2), can we
also use it to make SBO? (picture below – right side)

3. If have researched and compiled together a mass balance process for a soybean oil
refinery plant starting from cleaning until the RBD process. Are the mass losses or the
minimum amount of chemical compounds required for the soybean oil processing
correct?
4. Are there any additional materials / chemical compounds to make SBO and SBM?

If we want to make SBO facility in the future :

1. What type of material we will use for future SBO? Will the raw material comes from FFS
factory which operate in Nov 2022 or raw soybean (we start new)?
2. Soybean that will be sent in here by what? Bulk/Container?
3. Soybean will be arrived in which port (Gresik/Tanjung Perak, etc)?
4. How long the soybeans can be stored in the silo?
5. Are there any special criteria from the government for storing soybeans in silos
(examples should not be more than 40 days)?
6. We will use existing refinery or making new refinery for future SBO? If we will use
existing refinery where is the location (Gresik/Serang/Pulo Gadung)?
7. We presume three possible scenarios to transport FFS to the SBO refinery plant. This
question is a key important one for our business proposal because it'll drastically affect
our transportation cost
a) Extrude raw soybeans to full-fat soy in Gresik, then ship them to Pulo Gadung to
extract and refine the oil content
b) Extrude and extract the oil from full-fat soy in Gresik, then send the crude SBO to
Pulo Gadung for refining
c) Have all three processes: extrusion, solvent extraction, and refinery in Gresik

8. If we will use FFS as a semi-processed material to make SBO :

 What type of storage to store the FFS?
 Will there be any storage condition that we must know? Such as the maximum
allowable months to store FFS in a silo or warehouse
 Do we also have to ensure that the storage area is warm and dry?
 How long we can store the FFS?
