My Educational and Professional Target

I am a young student at the Illinois medical health school studying BSN. I started

learning here not long ago pursuing a Pre- Nursing major. I look forward to being a fully-fledged

health professional with competent qualifications in handling major theatrical works, including

anesthesia in presurgical rooms and psychiatric therapies before and after surgery. As a young

nursing student with ambitions to aspire more knowledge at the end of my professional journey, I

am very privileged to have a chance to share what I have a feeling can land me opportunities. I

am going to explain what my plans and targets are for the fall semester that is due this August.

When I was still pursuing a high school diploma, I developed an interest in the medical

field but was not interested in general nursing involving the routine patient care but a specialized

field that handles both physical and psychological to alleviate conditions. It is my passion, and I

believe I can get it; if everyone can chase their passion and reach, then what deters me from

doing so? Everyone pursuing nursing would probably attend lectures, carry out some research,

do assignments, and then the final exam to get their certificates clean. After all these common

paths, they would find a job finally live by it. Not myself. I have a passion, purpose, and, most

importantly, a dream, a dream to alleviate traumatizing experiences in patients’ lives.

This fall semester, I am going to apply for a chance of practical assignment to volunteer

at the John Hopkins Hospital. Our school usually gives such scholarship or internship

opportunities to any smart and willing student who I am. This program often goes for a fortnight

before reapplying, either, another field of study or back to the same area but a different section. I

feel this will allow me to explore the various nursing fields before specializing in a career choice.

My career pathway entails psychiatric nursing and theater. The best experience I want to achieve

at the end of that opportunity will scale me to the next level of the career ladder. I am going to

work closely with the nurses offering pre and post psychological surgery therapy, advising on

how to get along during and post-trauma. It will ensure I gain knowledge on how to influence

and inspire a highly traumatized patient and the family. The chance will issue me a portfolio to

learn essential communication skills that are good at convincing.

After the voluntary internship, I am looking forward to registering for an English

proficiency examination to get certification in communication skills. Since I will be sitting for

my final exam in 2 semesters, I thoroughly would like to embark on serious revisions. It will

help me scale down the ideas that the exam requires. With that in mind, I wrote a comprehensive

list of the time table before reporting that, if thoroughly followed, can lead to great success.

Nursing is an exciting field of study. It makes one passionate about work ethics as it

revolves around handling people through social interactions. Working with people is impressive,

especially when one has the required skills in nursing care and exercises empathy amongst

individuals with somewhat sad feelings. I find it easy to comfort people. In the next two

semesters, I would like to graduate with a degree I am nursing but not to stop at this point but to

pursue psychiatry. Am so passionate about guiding patients, especially while undergoing some

pain. I am talented at guiding, coaching, training, and, most importantly, comforting.
