Johari Window
The Johari Window model is a simple and
useful tool for personal development,
self-disclosure and enhancing the ability
to communicate. It measures how much
you are open to others and their
feedbacks. Its basically divided into four
quadrants: Self -disclosure, feedback,
shared discovery and self-discovery.

Positive Feedbacks from the instrument:


The open area has been drastically increased horizontally and the blind spot
decreased since the last time I attempted this test. I have been more open and
less defensive around people, allowing other to give feedback about my attitude,
personality and emotions.
Areas to improve upon:
Still very much shy to share some personal details.
Need to know myself better and communicate effectively.

Plan of Action:

I'm going to make more attempts to show who I'm


to everyone, also try to be more interactive, more talkative, engaging and will
try to participate more in social events.
Finally, I can minimise the unknown by revealing myself more to others
be more involved in social activities.
2. Big 5 Model of Personality
The big five personality model is an instrument that gives an insight about the 5
personality traits and how they influence and affect the work behaviour.
Five components of personality:
 Agreeableness
 Conscientiousness
 Extraversion
 Openness
 Stress Tolerance

Positive Feedbacks from the instrument: With the decent high score in
Conscientiousness, it shows self-control and discipline in day-to-day life. Every
decision is made thoughtfully with all precautions in mind (cautious and
careful).
Very unlikely to get addicted to bad habits and has an organised behaviour
towards life.
With a low score in Neuroticism, it shows being less anxious and fearful in
certain situation than others. It shows positive mind-set and less negative
emotions.
Areas to improve upon: I can be a little more open and try to express myself
more. Work on being more enthusiastic and less introspective. 24 in
agreeableness implies that I could be more empathetic and cooperative towards
others, accommodating too.
Plan of Action:

Being a little more expressive and more enthusiastic with others.


I need to understand what others are going through and be a little more
considerate towards the feeling of others.
I will try and make more connections and share ideas, thoughts and opinions
effectively to my benefit.

3. EQ Instrument

EQ instrument is a behaviour model providing insights on numerous areas of


emotional intelligence and measure the 4 key areas of EI:
 Self-Awareness
 Self-Management
 Social Awareness
 Relationship Management
