What is the meaning of a “colonial legacy”?

Discuss any disadvantages and possible

advantages.
The term colonial legacy is used to refer the changes in government structure and
organization, political practices and even economics of countries and regions as an
effect of the colonialism of invasive rulers (Reference, 2020). Usually, those weaker
countries are being taken over by the stronger countries. Thus, this situation may
have or have already lead to some disadvantages that would greatly be determined
by inequality. Colonial legacy impacts health, quality of life, and resources of a
colonized country because of enslavement and mass exploitation brought by those
circumstances. Furthermore, it may bring unwanted practices and modernization
as well as may end or disrupt traditions and morals. However, the colonial legacy
may have brought good to a colonized country such as with the globalizations
positive effect in different systems of health, education, government and
economics. Improvements and progress can be built with what is brought and left
by those colonial legacies.
