PROPOSAL FOR PILOT OF ADAPTIVE LEARNING PROGRAM WITH VEDANTU

Objective:

Comparing the baseline and the endline scores of Grade 8 students (Level 1 and Level 2) to
understand the effectiveness of Personalised Adaptive Learning Program Intervention based on
their learning outcomes and engagement with the system.

Success Metric:

Significant number of students who took part in the pilot should move to the next level and show
significant growth in learning levels to move to the next level in the independent end-line
assessment conducted by Vedantu.

Scope:

Jungroo will be doing personalised adaptive learning program intervention for Grade 8 - Math
Students of Vedantu.

Based on the baseline data conducted for Grade 8 Math students - Jungroo will be doing
intervention for Level 1 and Level 2 students.

Jungroo will be taking up 3 domains - Number Systems and Operations, Algebra and
Measurements (They will not be doing Data Handling and Geometry) and doing intervention
specifically for the topics that need intervention based on the Baseline data.

Jungroo's program is an adaptive learning program. Based on the responses of the student for a
particular concept - the next related concept will be given to the students. This will be in the form
of questions, hints, solutions, videos etc. The adaptivity is done by an AI algorithm which has a
knowledge graph as an input.

The system will adapt based on the level of the student and find out the misconceptions and
provide remediation of the right concept at the right time - making sure we increase engagement
and learning outcomes of the student

The Objective of the pilot program is to understand the students and their growth across levels
based on engagement with the system and see if continuous adaptive practise is effective in
improving learning outcomes.

Implementation:

Jungroo will give a unique login link for each and every student. They have to click on the link
and take the personalised learning modules that are assigned to them.
Everyday 15 minutes of Practise. One practise session for 1 hour a week. This will be over and
above the current vedantu classes and any other additional online classes that the student
might be taking.

Vedantu has already conducted the baseline test and would be conducting the endline test. We
will be looking at the data in the 3 domains that are mentioned above and making inferences
based on the engagement levels and learning outcomes of the students.

Tentative Plan:

Students: All Level 1 and Level 2 students of Grade 8 Students who took the baseline
assessment conducted by Vedantu independently of Jungroo.

Start Date - Dec 1

End Date - Feb last week.

Endline Assessment to be conducted by Vedantu Independent of Jungroo to all the students

who took part in the Pilot.

Operational Details:

Jungroo creates a unique link for each student. They have to login daily and practise there.
Jungroo will be configuring the adaptive learning modules for the students. Every week one
session they practise in worksheet class for 1 hour.

Jungroo will take care of the content requirements of the pilot.

Cost for the pilot: 50K INR

c) Logistical Support and Operational Support to kick start the pilot in terms of
communications, training etc.
d) Support during the weekly practise session
