The fog covers it

A masked man with no remorse

The darkness inside

The spirits linger

There is no hiding from them
A dark, endless night

Fear, despair, terror

Moonlight on a bloody night
A futile attempt

Tall tales have been told

The horror lies in the truth
Trust can be abused

That familiar place

The unknown waits before you
Terror rules your mind

A lady in white
The years have passed by slowly
never ending tale

Debris clouds your view

Forgotten rooms of madness
False reality

The night sky, a veil

You run, but to no avail
Your life, is quite frail

Time is running out

Slipping away, dark abyss
Regret, left behind

The devil’s wishes

No salvation, throne of lies
The truth sets you free
He is in my room,
standing in the dark corner,
I hope i'm dreaming
- This poem is written by Brandon Whitcomb, and I would rate this at 9/10. I rate it as this
because while it is a simple and traditional horror scene, it is described very well, yet still
holds onto a sense of anonymity. The reasoning behind his poem is the illusion of dreams
and how you are never sure if what you are seeing is real or just your mind's imagination
running wild.

His teeth chatter on,

though they be removed from him,
welcome dear dentist

Unblinking were they,

the eyes of vicious monsters,
gnawing on dead flesh
- Both of these poems are written by Hayden Snyder, and I rate them both at 9/10. My
reasoning behind rating them at this is because they are both very unique and are unlike any
of the poems written by me or the other two writers. His first poem focuses on a style of body
horror and the terror of having one's teeth removed, and ties this into the idea of a dentist.
His second poem focuses on a typical monster style of horror, but his use of intense and
descriptive words provide a much more sinister experience.
-

I am quite hungry,
the fridge has no food in it,
I am going to cry
- This poem is written by Ian Studzinski, and in terms of true horror writing, I won't rate this
one. However, it is written in a horror comedy style of writing, somewhat like the Scream
series or Scary Movie series. As a joke horror poem, I would rate this at 10/10. It is quite
funny because no one realistically would just start crying if the fridge was empty, but It is
also very relatable as being hungry with nothing to eat is something we have all experienced.
