Job Description for: Senior Software Engineer (ETL)

Location: Bangalore, India

The candidate will be responsible for ETL processes using Informatica server and tools on our Analytics
product. In this role, the candidate will be working closely with the Engineering, Product Management,
Technical Operations and Customer Support teams in India and USA. Thorough domain knowledge and
excellence in product development practices, maintenance of committed project schedules are the basic
expectations from this candidate.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, improve and maintain ETL processes and tools used by Xactly products. The
candidate will also be responsible for development, maintenance of Analytics database schemas,
performance and scalability tuning, and data quality of Xactly Analytics application.

• Provide technical architecture that is scalable for growing data volumes and number of users.

• Work with the product architects to ensure optimal design in all areas pertaining to Xactly
Analytics. Ensure all the design, architecture and developed code adheres to industry best practice
design principles.

• Interact closely with Product Management to understand requirements and aid in developing
requirements.

• Work with QA teams to ensure the quality of Xactly Analytics.

• Work with Operations and Customer Support teams to debug and address production related
issues and customer reported issues.

• As part of development responsibilities, be accountable for the quality of the product. To this
end, ensure that appropriate unit and performance tests are conducted on the developed product.

• Develop and manage documentation needs pertaining to the product.

• Design innovative solutions to build the product in a multi-tenant environment.

Job Requirements and Skills

• Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree from a reputed institution.

• Required skills:

• 6+ years working experience on ETL applications, in particular with Informatica server.

• 6+ years of hands on experience with Oracle database. Hands on knowledge of Oracle 11g
Enterprise Edition is a must.

• Strong knowledge of data warehouse design methodologies and best practices.

• Solid debugging and troubleshooting skills

• 4+ years of in-depth dimensional modeling experience

• Desirable skills:

• Hands on experience with any BI platform such as Oracle BI EE, Cognos, Business Objects,
MicroStrategy

• Experience with Java web technologies and Java coding

• Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 4, JBoss Application Server

• Must be prepared to work with strict deadlines with teams located in India and USA.

• Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
