In view of the prevailing threat and Government imposed restrictions, BIT Mesra has no option

than to hold the 31st Convocation in virtual mode using a digital platform. We are extremely

disappointed that the Convocation, the biggest event of our annual calendar could not be held

physically this year (2021), too. BIT is committed to uphold and maintain principles of regularity,

punctuality and dignity in all academic functions. With great efforts we have restored regularity

in terms of timely holding of Convocation after some lapses in the past. Hence, postponing was

not an option. Instead, the Institute is committed to create a special occasion of get together for

the batches graduating in 2020 and 2021 sometime during the summer break of 2022 so that all

degree recipients of the 31st Convocation can visit their alma mater and recreate the spirit and

atmosphere of Convocation once the pandemic and related threats recede and disappear.
