Clark railway on tourism industry of the areas where it is located with a focus on leisure,

pleasure, and business.

Summary of Findings

The summary of findings of the researchers about their study “The Rise of New

Destination: Malolos-Clark Railway on Tourism Industry is presented here. The findings of the

researchers are organized around the issues provided in the problem statement, and the data

acquired in the fifth chapter will serve as a foundation. The first question what is the

demographic profile of the participants in terms of age and address. The second question is what

is the perception of the respondents towards the construction of the Malolos-Clark Railway. The

third is what is the profile of the business in terms of nature of the business, age of the business

and location of the business. The fourth and final question is what is the perception of the

business owners towards the construction of the Malolos-Clark Railway.

1. What is the demographic profile of the participants in terms of:

A. Age

B. Address
1.1 The result indicates the respondents' address. It is revealed that 33.55 percent

(101 out of 301) are under the place of Bulacan. The (33.22 percent) are between the

places in Manila, (100 out of 301). Furthermore, 33.22 percent are within the place of

Pampanga (100 out of 301). Therefore, the responses from Bulacan, Manila, and

Pampanga have been properly allocated.

1.2 The result indicates the respondents' status. It is revealed that 45.85 percent

(138 out of 301) are respondents who are unemployed. The majority of responders (47.84

percent) are student respondents, (144 out of 301). Furthermore, 6.31 percent are

unemployed respondents (19 out of 301). It implies that they are self-employed or work

for a corporation, implying that they can afford to travel for pleasure or business, even if

just for a short period. Students make up another major group. Apart from the fact that

students like traveling, students from Pampanga and Bulacan will feel more at ease

studying at Manila's universities, or, due to the overcrowding in Manila's universities,

students from Manila can now study in Bulacan and Pampanga. Finally, there are the

unemployed, the majority of whom are housewives.

1.3 The responses are the potential beneficiaries and market for the development

of the Malolos-Clark Railway. 4.65 percent (14 out of 301) of the respondents are under

the age of 18 and are frequently accompanied by their parents or relatives, according to

the results. The bulk of those who responded are between the ages of 18 and 25 (51.83

percent). (156th place out of 301) Furthermore, 27.91 percent are between the ages of 26

and 45, 8.97 percent are between the ages of 46 and 60 (27 out of 301), and only 6.64

percent are seniors.

2. What is the perception of the respondents towards the construction of the Malolos-
Clark Railway?

The respondents' opinion of the Malolos-Clark Railway is that it will make it easier for them

to travel as tourists, which received the most approval from the 301 respondents, who strongly

agreed. The respondents agreed that using the train will save them time and make them feel

safer, more secure, and more comfortable. Surprisingly, aside from this, the respondents also

agree that the train will entice visitors from Pampanga and Manila to visit Bulacan's tourism

spots.

3. What is the profile of the business in terms of nature of the business, age of the business

and location of the business?

3.1 The result indicates the nature of the business that 18 of the 25 establishments, or 72

percent, are in the food industry, which is judged appropriate because food is one of

people's basic needs. Two come from the field of education, while five come from the

entertainment business.

3.2 The result indicates the age of business that only 5 of the 25 businesses were

established during the last four to ten years, and 20 are brand new, hoping to benefit from

the train's arrival.

3.3 The result indicates the location of business that 48 percent are from Pampanga and

52 percent are from Malolos and they will directly benefit from the train because trains

already exist in Manila.

4. What is the perception of the business owners towards the construction of the Malolos-

Clark Railway?

The company owner has a favourable attitude about the development of the

Malolos-Clark Railway. Because the majority of the respondents work in the food sector,

the company owners expect that when the train is built, the number of customers will

rise, resulting in an expansion of the firm to accommodate more people. Aside from

being inspired by the railway to start their firm, they also believe it will provide them

with opportunities for development and franchising. The majority of company owners

think that the railway has a favorable influence on their operations. When the railway was

announced three or four years ago, merchants were practically in a rush to create

businesses near stations because they feel it will open doors for them and because the

land or rent is lower compared to the price when the train is already built.

Conclusion

This section contains the summary of findings' overall conclusion. Researchers have finally

discovered the general outcomes and conclusions of this study. In view of the aforementioned

findings, the following conclusions were drawn:

1. The respondents' age, residence, and status indicate that they have sufficient strength,

easy access, and are capable or willing to ride the train.

2. The railway, according to the respondents, will draw people from Pampanga and

Manila to visit Bulacan's tourism sites. It also saves them time because there will be no

traffic to contend with if they travel by train.

3. The age, location, and nature of the businesses of the business owners all show that the

train's presence has benefited them, increased their profit, and helped the train in terms of

a large number of tourists interested in visiting the new businesses near Malolos to Clark.

4. The Malolos-Clark Railway's growth is seen favorably by the business owners. They

are also considering expanding the company to accommodate additional customers and

employees. Entrepreneurs also feel it will provide them with development and

franchising options.
