“Make enough mistakes.

Any mistake is an income, it’s a wonderful revenue for

you. Don’t worry. If you fall, you stand up. If you fall again, stand up again.” These
words of Jack Ma Yun, the founder of the business giant Alibaba keep on ringing in my
mind after watching his inspiring video. Jack Ma’s story is not as rosy as one would
think for a business tycoon as successful as him. He underwent through much more
failures than any other normal person would be able to handle nowadays. He had
applied for jobs for thirty times, all of which are in failures. He tried to apply to
Harvard ten times but with not so much luck. He was born out of a poor family. He
had no connections either with any rich or successful people. For many years all he
sought was to just find a proper job and survive.
Many of the young people who would have gone through the same challenges
would have lost hope already. It is not a good feeling being rejected by people. It’s
depressing. But that’s what also set Jack Ma apart from others. He had a vision. He had
a dream. Just like he said in the video, we all should keep on fighting and keep
changing ourselves. Think of the possible improvements that we must affect in
ourselves. We should not complain. People who complain can never come back up. We
don’t have to know a lot of things. We don’t have to learn from successful stories. If we
want to be successful, we should learn from other people’s mistakes for no matter how
smart a person is, he eventually and surely will encounter these same mistakes. By
learning, we’ll know how to deal with the suffering. We’ll then know how to handle
them so that we can stand up again.
Life is really never how much one achieves. Its how much we struggle to survive
through the tough days. We all had different stories, different races. But in all these
different intricacies and mazes of life, we are all driven by one common factor. We all
have visions. We all have dreams to fulfill. As Jack Ma said, we should make enough
mistakes to earn “wonderful revenues”. As we continue to stumble our way through
our envisioned goals, we should keep on trying and improving ourselves. If we fall, we
stand up. If we fall again, we stand up again.
