ACR description

The RMPs are the Human-Machine Interface of the ACR through the MENU page.
ACR can Rx from AOC, ATC using D3
The ACR, according to database and A/C position given by FMS, will route
automatically messages from datalink applications to the communication mean to be
used.
Datalink applications are hosted in: CPIOM-D1, ACR App in CPIOM-D3
Air-ground Message Server (AMS) hosted in ANSU-OPS to upload and download
AOC
and AAC messages
AMS is in charge to treat requests sent to the ACR or received from the ACR.
The DLCS loads the ACR application and databases in the CPIOM-D3.
" COM: DATALINK FAULT", "DATALINK STBY" failure MSGs for ACR
On the RESET panel 1231VM, the DataTLiNK ROUTER C/B can reset
the ACR.
Info send from ANSU – OPS as current FLT report + Faults through an app called
AOC
From RMP manual scan can be C/out to select DSP by D3 (Based on FMS pos)
D3 contain tail ID from SCI
MENU key can access data link STS priorities for:
VHF, HF, SATCOM

WIRELESS AIRPORT COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


It is composed of a transceiver named CTLR-WACS and its dedicated antenna
ANSU-AFMR loaded with airport info C/C’s, and controlled by WLM, which check
everything on GND airport C/C’s
If O.K. it will allow power to WACS control WACS will send OK S/L
When the CTLR-WACS is powered (power supply and LRU status OK),
Test: Only from FLT Ops Domain by sending MSG & Rx reply

Static dischargers
Two types of static discharger are installed:
- One with a straight mounting, at the trailing edges,
- One installed with a 30-degree angle, at the tips.
COCKPIT VOICE RECORDING SYSTEM
The CVR can store two hours of audio recording and record the ATCdata link
messages during this recording period
CVR located in the aft pressurized fuselage, on the right hand side of the bulk cargo
compartment
Q- On ground, the RCDR GND CTL P/BSW (installed on the 1211VM) isused to
start the recording.
When test P/B pushed & released, 600 Hz tone can be listened to through a
boomset plugged to the CVR CU
Audio recording can be manually erased on ground with the parkbreak set, by
pressing CVR ERASE P/B more than 2 seconds.
The CVR in return confirms good erasure of audio by providing a 400 Hz tone during
0.5 seconds.
Erase function can only be activated on ground with parking brake applied
The CVR records 3 audio channels from the Audio Management Unit 1(AMU1) only.
AREA MIC NOT through AMU1, just thru CVR control panel
The 4th audio channel recording cockpit ambient soundscomes from the cockpit
area microphone
The CVR also records Controller-Pilot DataLink Communications(CPDLC) from
ATC application (hosted in CPIOM-D1) through A429busses. This function is pin-
programmed OMS.
In automatic mode, the CVR is in recording if:
On GND, during the first 5 minutes after power up
On GND with at least 1 engine master switch ON
in flight,
On GND, during 5 minutes after the last engine shutdown.

The CVR can be set in recording mode using the recorder ground control P/BSW
(>5Min)
A429 link between the Centralized Data Acquisition Module (CDAM) and the CVR is
used to record the UTC time for time synchronization
The CVR transmits data to FWS for level 1 alert computation need ( RECORDER :
CVR FAULT)

EXTERNAL AND TAXIING AID CAMERA SYSTEM
System consists of Camera Interface Unit (CIU) (MAIN AV) and the Taxiing Aid
Cameras (TACs).
The EFIS and ECAM control panels will be used for control

CIU receives video signals from the different TACs through opticfiber. The video
images from the belly and the vertical stabilizer TACs are put in the mosaic format
by the CIU.
CIU Rx S/L from camera in F.Optics format & send it to CMV in F.Optics
CIU also adds inserts on these images. The CIU sends these images to the CMV to
be shown on the cockpit DUs (PFDs and SD) F.Opt
Each camera has an internal monitoring. The result sent to CIU through ancillary
data in video stream and through a discrete link for redundancy
Faukts & bite send to CMS thru SCI using 429
T he picture coming from the vertical tail camera is sent continuously to the IFE.
The CIU transforms the digital video signal into an analog video signal at NTSC
standard. The picture is displayed with no insert to IFE
Speed> 60Kts no camera in PFD, SD always avail on GND or FLT
How this is controlled? By PRIMary System ETACS inhibition
When the crew are using the "LANDSCAPE & T AXI CAMERA" pushbutton camera
output is switched off.
