IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES

1 Before coming for the written examination, please check that you are eligible according to the eligibility norms
stipulated in the advertisement. If you are not eligible, your candidature may be cancelled at any stage.

2. Please note that calling you for the written test is purely provisional without verification of your Age,
Qualification, etc, with reference to original certificate / testimonials. In case, it is detected at any stage
that you do not fulfill the eligibility criteria and / or you have furnished incorrect information, your
candidature will be summarily rejected and / or your services are liable to be terminated.

3. A Booklet giving information about the nature of the examination have been displayed in our website
www.kvb.co.in -> Careers -> “Probationary Officers 2011 – Information Handout – Download” separately.

4. For objective type test, there will be penalty for wrong answers marked by you. For every wrong answer one fourth or
0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

5. The test booklet as well as the answer sheet for the examination will be supplied by the bank. You should bring with
you two HB pencils, one eraser, one pencil sharpener and one ball point pen. Please do not keep books and
written notes with you in the Examination Hall.

6. Please bring this call-letter with your recent passport size photograph firmly affixed on it when you come for
the examination.

7. You have to pay Rs.400/- (Rupees Four Hundred Only) by means of a Demand Draft of any Bank, favouring
“THE KARUR VYSYA BANK LTD”, payable at CHENNAI towards the Examination Fee to be handed over at the
Examination Hall. The SC/ST Candidates have to pay Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) along with a
submission of proof for SC/ST caste (Xerox copy) without fail. The Examination Number should be written
on the reverse side of DEMAND DRAFT by pencil.

8. For all future correspondence please mention the Examination No. without fail.

9. This call letter should be surrendered to the Invigilator.

10. You may bring with you the filled-in specimen answer sheet given at the end of the information handout
downloaded from our website. This will help you in filling up the bio-data information on the actual answer sheet.

11. You will not be permitted to use any calculators, logarithm tables, books or notes during the examination. Please do
not bring any such devices or notes with you.

12. You should strictly obey all instructions given to you by the test administration personnel.

13. You should be at your seat in the examination hall at the time indicated in the call letter. Late comers will not be
permitted to appear in the examination.

14. You should not leave the examination hall without the permission of the Invigilator.

15. Traveling expenses and other expenses, if any, for your attending the written Examination are to be borne by you.

16. Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates or to bring political or other outside influence with regard to
their selection / recruitment shall be considered DISQUALIFICATION.

17. Candidates failing to comply with the above instructions will not be permitted to appear for the test.

18. Switch off your cell phones before entering into the Examination Hall.

19. Before leaving the examination hall, you should hand over both Test Booklet and Answer Sheet
to the Invigilator without fail.
