This biography is about Barack Obama. It will include his childhood, education, and presidency.

Obama was the 44th president of America. He has helped America through rough times such as the
great reception. He likes to repeat things in his speeches such as “clean energy” or “improving our
education system”. He was selected to be the president in 2008, and he won again in 2012. One of
the famous quotes Obama said was: “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or
some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”.

Obama was born in Hawaii in august 4, 1961. His parents met each other at the university of
Hawaii when they were students. Obama’s father wanted to study, so he went to Harvard University.
He left Obama at the age of 2, alone with his mother. Because of this, Obama’s mother has divorced
with his father and married another student. They moved to Indonesia when Obama was 6, and he
went to catholic and Muslim schools. “I was raised as an Indonesian child and a Hawaiian child and
as a black child and as a white child,” Obama had once said, “And so, what I benefited from is a
multiplicity of cultures that all fed me.”

Obama lived in indonesia for 4 years, and concerned about his education, his mother sent him back
to Hawaii to live with her parents. He went to Hawaii’s prestigious Punahou School, starting from
fifth grade to graduation from high school. Obama was a good but not outstanding student at
Punahou, and he later said that he was doing drugs and alcohol at that time. He went to Occidental
College in Los Angeles for 2 years , and then went to Columbia University in New York City. He
read numerous books about politics, and international affairs( the study of the interaction of nation-
states and non-governmental organizations in fields such as politics, economics, and security.). he
graduated from Columbia in 1983 with a political science major.
