Impact of Media on Society

Nowadays society people are so much in to the new world with new media and it has

changed everyone’s life. Past decades people used newspaper and magazines as it provides

useful articles and made people aware of what’s going on in the world. As we move forward the

world develop more and now, we have hundreds of new medias that people can use all over the

world. The world has come to a point where live is impossible without internet, television and

other medias. Media has both negative and positive effects on people but, the more effect is on

the teenagers who use media a lot. Some of the effects of media on people are; addiction,

communication skills or social networking and business.

First, as much as media has made life easier, communication to other no matter where

they are easier and pathway where we can get every kind of information, we need but, still

people get addicted by using it too much. Especially teenagers as they use so much internet,

video games and social media. A survey showed that 90% of teenagers use social media daily.

There are both positive and negative post or information on social media where people can get

the positive side or negative. Some information or posts contain violence that has a lot of impacts

of behavior of the teenage kids.

Second, Social networking sites are platforms for people to express themselves, share

ideas, and interacts with others. Social networking has made it so easier for people to keep in

touch even from far away. Nowadays social networking is being used all over the world since it

 helps people in their daily life. Popular social networks that has the most users are Facebook,

Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google and YouTube.

Finally, social media, radios, televisions and newspaper are good platforms for business.

People can use these to introduce their business to people. Social networks help the businesses in

a variety of ways and, with social media the businesses can connect with their targeted customers

for free, the only cost is energy and time. Through Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or any other

social site you can lower your marketing cost to a significant level.

In conclusion, media has become a part of people life nowadays. It has both negative and

positive effects on teenagers and elders. Depend on people how they are going to use it on a

beneficial way or other ways where it led them to addiction. Some of the effects of media on our

life are: addiction for teenagers, communication skills or social networking and business.
