It has been observed that quite a number of calls made to the Information Desk of the
PPSC relate to questions/enquiries that have been adequately addressed in the Advertisements
for various posts, General Instructions for Candidates given with each advertisement or detailed
Instructions/Guidelines available on the PPSC website. You would understand that such
questions/enquiries waste time of PPSC officials, keep the telephone lines busy and, quite often,
make it difficult for prospective applicants in need of an urgent clarification on an issue not
covered in the advertisement or the website, to make a call to the Information Desk.

It is, therefore, requested that before raising a question with the Information Desk you
should carefully go through the entire advertisement of the post you are interested in and also
check the PPSC website. Calls should only be made if the required information is not available in
the advertisement or on the PPSC website.
