Lesson Plan in Values Education

Subject: P1 – P2 Values Education


Topic: Colours, Lines, and Shapes
Term and week: Week 1 Term 3

● To be able to discuss the colours, lines and shapes that are used on every art.
● To be able to explain the importance of colours, lines, and shapes in our lives.
● To be able to make an art using colours, lines, and shapes

Resources:

Materials:
LCD, PowerPoint Presentation, television

Presentation of the Lesson:

Preliminary Activity:

1. The students will be asked to get a white clean paper.


2. They will draw a nature or building using lines and shapes.
3. They will also put colours on it.
4. They will be called by the teacher; they will explain their drawings in front of the class.
5. They will also explain why they used those lines, shapes, and colours.

Assessment or Closing Activity:

1. The students will be grouped into 2 groups. Each group must have 5 members.
2. The teacher will post a 2 big white paper on the blackboard.
3. The students will fall in line.
4. Each member of the group, will run to the white paper and draw a shapes or lines. One
shape or line per member.
5. The teacher will post a category to draw by the students. The leaders will play rock,
paper, scissors to decide what category should they draw.
6. When the teacher says “GO” the first member will run to the white paper and draw
and go back to his group and the next member will do the same thing.
7. The teacher will a timer. 2 mins is the allotted time for them to finish their output.
8. The group who can show or express the category through their drawings, will obtain
25 pts and the other group will obtain 15 pts.

For Inclusion:
1. The teacher will give his/her own insights about the topic that are helpful and easy to
understand by the students. He/she will also listen to the student who gives thoughts and
feelings to the lesson.
2. The Teacher will correct them with respect if there are some misconceptions about the
topic.
3. Acknowledge them for giving thoughts confidently. Always give praise for student’s efforts.
Note: If there are some students who aren’t catch up the lesson well, give consideration and
focus more on them. Be considerate to their different competencies as a student and as a
child.
