CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background
Obesity and associated noncommunicable illnesses are generally avoidable. Healthy eating and
regular physical exercise are the simplest (most accessible, convenient, and cheap) options for
individuals in supportive settings and communities, avoiding overweight and obesity. Having
access to a healthy lifestyle is essential for individual responsibility. Thus, society must help
people follow the aforementioned guidelines by implementing evidence-based and population-
based policies that make regular physical exercise and better eating choices available, cheap, and
readily accessible to everyone, especially the poorest. A charge on sugar-sweetened drinks is one
example.

The food industry can help promote healthy eating habits by lowering the fat, sugar, and salt
content of processed foods, making healthy food choices more accessible and affordable to all
consumers, limiting the marketing of high-fat, high-sugar foods to children and teenagers, and
encouraging regular physical activity in the workplace.

'Business' refers to any human-organized activities that offer products and services to the public
in order to maintain and enhance living standards and the quality of their lives' (Umar, 2003).
Business operations are done out to assist human others so that better connections may be
created and the quality of life of someone improved, as explained above. As a result of the
economic community's conduct, which the majority of Indonesians are now experiencing,
businesses and healthy food and drink have ties. The establishment of a connection between two
entities.

As a result of the above, we frequently hear the word entrepreneur or entrepreneur used
interchangeably with still another phrase. In his book "Entrepreneurship," Abas Sunarya explain
that an entrepreneur is someone who decides to start a business, as a franchisee (Franchisor)
becomes a franchisee (Franchisee), expand a business, buy an existing business or borrow money
to create a new product or service, and are managers and risk takers (Sunarya, 2011).

Small Entrepreneur Decree Number: 961/KEP/M/XI/1995 of the Minister of Cooperatives and

Development states that entrepreneurship is a person's approach to dealing with businesses or
activities that encourages them to look for, develop, and implement new ways of working and
products while increasing efficiency in order to provide better service and/or make a larger
profit.

We've all heard the word entrepreneur used to describe someone who is starting their own
business. This word may be broken down into the following elements according to entrepreneur
rules that we can comprehend according to Abas Sunarya et al in their book "Entrepreneurship"
(2011: 35).

Warrior, heroic, valiant, excellent, and devoted to duty are all qualities associated with the
surname Wira. Business is defined as the development of activities and/or the engagement in
different business operations. To compare what has been said above with the meaning of the
term entrepreneur, we may say:
- Warrior, noble, valiant, outstanding, and heroic words to describe Wira
- Swa is short for single.
- sta is an abbreviation for "stand up."
To be private is to be self-sufficient, or to put it another way, to be self-determined. There are
many people who consider changing their profession to become entrepreneurs who are expected
to improve the economy after learning about entrepreneurship. Society believes that doing
business in a field that is a basic human need rather than anything else is a good thing because all
humans are required to meet their needs.

Indonesia 2020 population is estimated at 273,523,615 people at mid year according to UN data.
Indonesia population is equivalent to 3.51% of the total world population. Indonesia ranks
number 4 in the list of countries (and dependencies) by population. Specifically, Cikarang Pusat
have the number of population in 100.714, Cikarang Selatan (278.476), Cikarang Timur
(107.854), Cikarang Utara (278.421), Cikarang Barat (278.237). The growth population also
found highest in Cikarang Selatan. With this population, it is a great chance for us to build this
business here since the number of population is high.

We must be familiar with the terms restaurant, restaurant, and restaurant in the field of Food &
Beverage science, which examines the whole food and beverage industry. For example, the
Minister of Tourism, Post and Telecommunications Decree No. KM-73/PW-105 describes
restaurants as commercial establishments whose primary purpose is to serve food and beverages
to the general public, with a restaurant manager in charge of overseeing the restaurant's day-to-
day operations.
For the most part, we know that restaurants are: a place where visitors come to dine, drink, and
be served in a pleasant and cordial way so that they feel at ease while they are there. A restaurant
or a restaurant may be deemed excellent if it is able to provide customers with a distinctive
dining experience that derives from sources other than hospitality. For example, beautiful
interior design, innovations in processing menus that pique customers' interest, and operational
scope that makes them want to stay for an extended period of time are all examples.

The food (culinary) industry is one of the most quickly expanding industries today, with
enormous development potential (Giantri, 2017). Numerous businesses already profit from the
culinary industry. However, this is incorrect. Some players in the culinary industry go out of
business or go bankrupt due of the economic climate (Maclean, 2020). The marketing approach
used is ineffective, and the level of service provided is subpar. inferior to what might have been.
It refers to the success of a food service enterprise into be successful in the competition, you
must adopt marketing tactics that strong connections with customers is also important. In the
event that a restaurant or catering service is able to fulfillment of customers' desires,
requirements, and preferences.

Another useful source of knowledge comes from surveying customers for the benefit of
management in order to enhance the company's offerings (Steiner, 2018). a number of the
methods used by a restaurant to keep customers happy. Providing sanitary and high-quality
goods to its consumers is a top priority excellent level of customer service Mie Baso Tasik is the
same way. Because of the intense rivalry in the culinary industry, prices are likely to rise
customers expect a certain level of service This must be expected and prepared for.the best
approach, which includes enhancing the level of customer service.

A company's ability to sell its products or services profitably marketing effort is required. When
it comes to action. Quality service is critical in marketing. Providing for the wants and
requirements of customers may obtained as a result of marketing efforts. as a result of such
expertise conceive up and implement effective marketing campaigns is a significant issue when
attempting to establish an exchange procedure between the manufacturers and the buyers.
Getting things done is one approach to be successful in-store promotions are aimed at gaining an
understanding of customer behavior and increase the level of customer satisfaction by providing
better service.
"One of the acts to gratify," says Kotler (2000: 50) to satisfy customers, businesses must provide
services to them in the most positive manner possible." As can be seen, there are a number of
factors to consider.customer satisfaction, namely the entire value of consumers, may be provided
includes the value of the product, the value of the service, the value of the individual, and the
value of the image expenses incurred by the consumer, including money and time. It's expensive
to put out effort and think creatively. Services for retail marketing in the industry. It's highly
reliant on services, with employees playing a particularly important role as well as colleagues.
Providing poor customer service will have an instant negative impact on your business.

Conditions such as these in the service industry may lead customers to be hesitant. Don't even
think of reconnecting in the future. The likelihood that customers would switch to other retailers
who provide improved quality of service In order to keep customers satisfied, efforts must be
made.Customers must take action now.

As outlined by Kotler, who was translated by Hendra Teguh, SE, AK (1997: 53), "a product is
anything that may be given to the market in order to attract attention, to be utilized or consumed
to fulfill a need or desire. Consumers' wants and activities are fulfilled as part of an attempt to
accomplish organizational objectives, in line with organizational competency and capacity and
market buying power. Conceptually this product represents the producer's subjective
understanding.

Only one major element of home-based company planning is discussed here, namely, product
aspect. This is because inside is themed as a healthy chicken-noodle restaurant. Food items and
operations are emphasized in the restaurant with the concept of "healthy food," including menus,
services offered, restaurant layout, and operational support equipment.

Because of this, the concept of clearing a path for those who really need it, as well as those with
whom doing business is a joy, developed. Mie Baso Tasik is a low-risk, low-capital business
model that may be implemented by youth. Mie Baso Tasik enterprise is a way for youth to make
money while they're still young while also learning new abilities in the kitchen. The strength of
Mie Baso Tasik compare to the other business is the quality offered. This noodle is more smooth
than other noodle. Then, it contain chopped meat with more fibrous meatball. The broth is tastier
with many variation of topping, including tofu meatball, chicken feet, chicken wings, beef tripe,
etc. Mie Baso Tasik will offers clean and excellent service to make this restaurant stand out upon
others competitors.
The author's company is in the food and beverage service sector, processing and processing their
own products to ensure a high degree of cleanliness and health. The author plans to provide a
processed wheat flour product that is often used as a rice replacement for carbohydrate
consumption, as well as a variety of snacks for customers to enjoy during downtime. Soft drinks,
fruit juices, ice mixes, and other traditional Indonesian beverages are examples of commercial
goods the author plans to sell in the future as part of his book's beverage section so it makes the
taste of the meat even stronger. T

Business planning is divided into four categories: product aspects, market aspects, financial
aspects, and organizational elements. Author develops business plan because: there is no
competitor selling the product similarly, no after-sales service offered by other chicken noodles
entrepreneurs in the vicinity of the company site and the goal to raise public knowledge about
the significance of eating nutritious food. This is attributed to the high number of individuals
who choose traditional and fast food food food items. For this reason, author's title is "Mie Baso
