ACTIVITY 1

CREATING A BUSINESS PLAN

Name of business group: ALCON GROUP

Business name: RESURVITA

Target Market:
Our business is concentrating on automobile industry and it is allied
industries
like parts engine transplant.
What are you going to do:
Main aim of our business plan is reducing the use of fuels like petrol,
diesel,
etc and converting cars to electric. It reduces use of recourses also
decreases
environmental pollution. There is also possibility of increase in
reliability of
cars after converting to electric. Considering the rate at which the
environment
is getting damaged, an electric vehicle might be the best way ahead. It
might
be beneficial to use electric vehicles than petrol or diesel ones
What makes your idea different:
The company will remove all the IC engine-related components and will
retrofit the car with an all-electric drivetrain. The engine is replaced by
an
electric motor. Unlike the new electric vehicles, there is a need for some
modifications to be done in the car to make it driveable. The car can
reach a
top speed of 80 kmph in such electric-retrofitted cars.

Who are going to work with you:

It is a complex process with a substantial cost attached however it may
seem
feasible compared to the cost of buying a new electric car. Your vehicle
can
be retrofitted with an electric functioning core. All it takes is the required
permission and approvals from your Regional Transport Office (RTO)
and
ensuring that your car is conducive to undergoing this drastic change.
So, we would need the permission from the local authorities and
companies like LG, BASF for the supplies of the batteries. Then we
would
also collaborate with a company named EONIX for ultracapacitors and
smelting.

Financing:
There are many policies available from the government, along with those
batteries are available in subside so that would cost less. MNC’s like
Adani
would help to establish our company too.

Risks:
 Climatic changes would affect the most after retrofitting
 The unwillingness of people to change to electric
 Scarcity of charging stations on roads
 Electricity supply is difficult in distant areas
 Condition of matters the most while being retrofitted
 People might think it is not economic

Pricing:
Converting the car to electric involves crash testing and refitting the
capacity
of may vary. The total cost may vary between 5-7 lacs as per customers'
needs.

Profit:
With lot of work going behind retrofitting, combining labour work the
company would require to pay to them too. So, cutting wages and other
expenses, company would have profits about 2-3 lacks behind each
vehicle.

No.1 Entrepreneur in India

1. Company name - Envi Green Biotech India Pvt Ltd

2. Founder name - Ashwath Hegde
3. City it is based out of - Bengaluru
4. Headcount/Strength of the team - 90 plus
5. Industry - Environmental health

India is a densely populated country with many loopholes in the system.

India is also famous for its diversity in nature. Many legislations have
been made by government to protect mother Earth. One of the main
factors to harm nature is plastic, many restrictions have been made but
there is to be done.
With such diversity of problems and troublemakers we also have
young, passionate innovators and entrepreneurs. The quest to plug the
proliferation of plastic has inspired a coterie of entrepreneurs to look for
eco-friendly alternatives. From nutritious edible cutlery to handmade
paper bags, these innovators have set the pace for a more sustainable
future.

Ashwath Hegde is one among them. He has produced a solution

that would be sustainable and affordable. He has innovated a bag like
plastic bag with the combination of natural starch of potato and some
vegetable oils.
He is the founder and chief architect of Envi Green. It is
commercial type of business with expanding possibilities. He had been
researching for years to find the current product. After four years he
launched Envi green. He had already lost 42 lakhs investments after
launch and struggled a bit. But, with some help of his elders he restarted
with areca plate making and other products so on.

Envi Green Biotech's plastic-like bags are 100% organic,

recyclable - and even edible for animals. These bags degrade naturally
when discarded and cause no harm to animals if they consume it. They
might pass off as plastic bags to the uninitiated, but are completely non-
toxic to the environment. All raw materials used as many as 12
ingredients - go through a complex six-step procedure to arrive at the
product.

According to him, the technology provides EG (Envi Green) products

an electric dissipative feature, along with anti-static feature-dust
repellent, oxygen barrier-corrosion prevention and oil/grease resistance
qualities that gives it its texture.

The start-up has manufacturing partners appointed across India and

a dedicated unit running in Karnataka with the current rate of production
at 200 metric tonnes a month. The EG R&D team is also working on a
version that can carry more than 10 kg of weight including liquid items.

Although Hegde wanted to become a lawyer growing up, he

now dreams of seeing a plastic-free India, drawing inspiration from the
Swachh Bharat movement. Apart from carry bags, they will also begin
manufacturing biodegradable trash bags, oil and grease sachets and
packaging films, among others in the time to come.

Activity 6

Well, 5 lacs is really handsome amount.

I can get you more than 5k return with just 1 lacs as well if you have
really good understanding of stock market. I have always suggested
my portfolio to many. I hope they got advantage by that. Make sure
you buy and sell at the right time.
“you always need to be at right place at right time for good
returns from stock market”
My portfolio:
BHEL
LYCOS INTERNET
EASTERN SILK
MOREPEN LABORATORY
BEPL (BHANSALI ENG)
SARLA PERFORMANCE
GAMMON INDIA
UNITECH
ZICOM SECURITY
IDBI BANK
So spare atleast 1 lac for stock market. And invest them in different
stocks. You can generate around 10k return per month depending
your stock market analysis skills. Taxes will be applicable as per the
15% short term capital gain tax rule in case if shares are sold within
one year.
I would suggest you to invest atleast 1.2 lacs into PPF on yearly
basis. This will save you around 20k annual tax. So you can consider
it as 1.8k of monthly return. Modi government is planning to remove
PF out of 80C section in 2018 budget. After that, you will be able to
invest 1.5 lacs into PPF.
I would suggest you to invest lump sum (or in chunks) amount of 50k
into mutual fund SIP. You may get around 15–20% yearly return. It
is having around 36 months of lock in period. However, you can
withdraw after one year with 1% penalty. And you would end up with
non-taxable 15–20% return. After union budget 2018, the long term
capital gain tax of 10% (if profit is above 1 lac) will be applicable if
shares are sold after one year.
Invest around 45k into life insurance investment plan for long term
(15 years lock in). This kind of plan normally will give you
1.8×(total invested amount) as maturity amount. Well, you can
show this 45k as investment under 80C section. However, in that
case, you will have to reduce the amount in PPF.
Invest the remaining 1.85 lacs into short term or long term fixed
deposit. This will give you 6.8% annual return.
