EXPERIENCE BOOKSTORE: THE SHELF INDULGENCE

Cinematic Universes constitute multiple, large scale,
visual adaptations of stories that stem from fiction.
Besides movies and theatre, such experiences are
rendered largely through the mediums of Graphic
Novels and Novellas, Graphic Screenplays, Dramas,
and the like.

A plethora of stories from around the world have

taken on the new form of conveying the narrative
through images supplementing the text, which
calls for a vivid, more lively engagement. This,
coupled with a booming VFX and film industry have
given rise to novel forms of entertainment.

The Shelf Indulgence is an experiential store selling

the aforementoned kinds of books, along with
collectibles, artefacts, etc. pertaining to fandoms
and fictitious universes.

The design proposed is for a store in a shopping mall/complex, of size 6m x 6m. The
space can be accessed only on one side, and is not a corner unit. The slab-to-slab
clear height is 4m, within which services are also to be considered.
