Every year, the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro through the Provincial
Tourism Office stages the Local Tourism Stakeholders Excellence Award (LTSEA).
This year’s LTSEA focuses on enhancing site and visitor management protocols with
the aim to prevent, effectively manage cases, and mitigate impact of this pandemic
among Community based Sustainable Tourism Organizations (CBSTOs) and Farm
Tourism Site Operators (FTSOs).
In addition, it seeks to capitalize on the idea of improving readiness in pursuit of tourism
recovery in the new normal moving tourism away from the notion of simply increasing
tourist arrivals, towards improving visitor experiences and supporting community
welfare.
