A. Preliminary Activities:

2. Drill: Multiplication and Division
3. Motivation: Asking Questions
a. How often do have visitors during weekends?
b. What do you do if you have visitors?
c. How can you entertain visitors?
B. Lesson Proper:

1. Discussion-

a. Problem Solving- Let the students read the problem No.1


b. Discuss problem 1and show solutions by drawing regions and by division.
c. Read and discuss problem No. 2
-Ask the students to show the solution by drawing regions.
-Discuss the solution by using multiplication and addition.
d. Give examples for more discussion on how to change improper fraction to
mixed numbers and vice-versa

Fill in the boxes with the correct numerator or denominator to make each
item true.

2. Group Activity- Improper and Mixed Number Visual
(11members each group)
Each group will be given 11 items to solve each for every member by writing the
given illustrations to mixed number and improper fraction.
The first group to finish and got the perfect score will be the winner

3. Generalization-
To rename the improper fraction as a mixed numbers or a whole number,
divide the numerator by the denominator and express the remainder if any, as
the fraction.
To rename a mixed number as an improper fraction, add the numerator to the
product. Write the sum over the given denominator.

4. Valuing-
What a character trait did a Filipino show especially when a visitor came? Is
it good to be hospitable always? Why or why not?
