 Licensing issues:

Indian hotels need to apply for multiple licenses under red-tapism by the government agencies. The
next location may require more than forty agencies to purchase more than 100 licenses according to
current status. This is a licensing function delays the project for a year or so which is worse than in
developed countries like this Singapore where only six licenses are required from six government
institutions. This is kind of confusing resulting from delayed processes requires the Indian
government to expedite the whole process, simple and transparent (Kashyap, 2014)

 Lack of skilled staff:

The unavailability of high-level staff at various skills levels is one of the major challenges facing by
the Indian Hospitality Industry, this is especially true in the interior attracting tourists but unlike
metro and tier two cities cannot support the skills as well educated workers.

 High turnover of quality workforce:

The Indian hotel industry finds it extremely difficult to retain staff even for training once
development and very low levels of decline. The experts in the Hotel industry are simple focuses on
better-paying industries such as retail, banking, aviation and other service sectors. (Panwar, 2012).

 Excess of Room Inventory:

The operating profit margins for luxury hotels are expected to be under pressure in the next two
financial years considering the number of rooms to come and the slow growth in other countries
incoming visitors. Due to the availability of plenty of rooms in 14 major cities in India, operating
profit the margins of these hotels are expected to drop to a minimum in ten years (Naidu, 2012).

 Competition form various players:

The industry is seeing increasing competition with the arrival of new players, new products and new
programs. Competition from neighboring countries is equally bad in the South East Asia comes as a
cheap place with better infrastructure (Kannan, 2005).

 Safety issues in India, a huge hindrance for tourism:

From the point of view of international tourists, it is possible that harassment, fraud and looted in
India. It also showed that international tourists have a lot of experience to be they have been
tortured, robbed and plundered. Confidence of tourists' safety in the tourist area an important
factor affecting tourism decisions and the development of the tourism industry. (Lina, 2011). The
image of the country is also tarnished by poverty, political instability, and the security of women
anxiety and disease. Scary by natural disasters such as tsunamis in the Indian Ocean as well the
potential for epidemics (bird flu, swine flu, dengue, chikungunya etc.) also affect diseases industry
(Ninemeier, 2009). After the 26/11 attacks, the hotels are very focused on planning specialized
training courses for security guards and security personnel. Lots of thinking and reflection is included
in programs designed with a strong focus on accepted monitoring systems with high locking and
access control methods (Kashyap, 2014).

 High Guest Expectations:

There is growing competition pressure inside and outside the tourism industry and constantly
changing customer expectations compels the need for new services and delivery channels. This gives
the hospitality players the courage to challenge the reconciliation that is needed short-term
investments (infrastructure, new technologies and product standards) by far long-term business
objectives (profitability, business continuity, efficiency, sustainability and the creation of a number of
investors) (See hospitality solutions, 2013).

 Employee burnout in Hospitality Industry:

Personalized services are needed in the tourism and hotel industries, and they are priceless
automation can replace personal service providers. This is related to the high level of hotel fatigue
staff which is one of the highest. The reasons for the fatigue have been found emotional exhaustion,
inhuman clients and lack of personal fulfilment (Ledgerwood, 2009). An annual survey conducted in
the Netherlands confirmed that the hotel and restaurant workers suffer from an average of one in
seven. These results are consistent with other global findings (Hurley, 2013). The hospitality industry
is focused on the customer the first is why it puts employees on the back stage. The turnover rate is
very high an anti-employer industry as much investment is invested in it employment and job
training and whenever a job quits also leads to losses output and efficiency. It is therefore very
important that the owner focuses on the end employees by providing a good working environment
while providing financial benefits (Kashyap, 2014).

 Infrastructural bottlenecks:

Infrastructure is inferior and needs to be upgraded as a host the industry is expected to increase
foreign exchange earnings. There is a shortage integration between domestic and international
tourism. Wrong sync in between Transportation and communication systems waste visitors' time,
money, and energy unnecessarily. So how to focus on the consumer and better move on
infrastructure needs which will be used to recognize the Indian Tourism Industry (Hans, 2008).

 Compounding costs:

India's hotel industry is losing its light as a relatively inexpensive place due to rising costs hotels. The
high cost of land in the country often discourages investors from investing in construction of new
hotels. Also, there is no tax adjustment as the regions charge different rates. One The cost of causing
misery in the industry are consumables (electricity, fuel, water, solid waste disposal etc.), payments,
taxes, communication platform and technology (Property Management Systems Funds etc.)
(Mayock, 2012).
 Stagnant innovation:

To give the visitor a better look and feel commoditization, the next generation of hotel owners
should think outside the box. Victorino, Verma, Plaschka & Dev (2005) pointed out that the
establishment of the service plays a very important role when it comes to a hotel guests make hotel
choices. New inventions are at the heart of hospitality organizations success as it allows them to
improve product quality, increase skills, reduce costs, meet customer expectations, increase sales
and profits and separate from competitors by increasing their market share. The industry also needs
technological advancement (Jones, 1996; Ottenbacher and Gnoth, 2005).

 Technical challenges:

1. The Choice Issue of software to assist in digital interaction with guests is key uninstall as every
company offers a variety of features and selects the right software what is needed is a big decision.
Potential retailers will need to be careful in setting advanced technology systems because hotels are
expected to tolerate them at all any kind of error.

2. Techno-phobia: Hotel staff working in various hotel departments find it difficult learning new
technologies. Further training and testing takes a lot of production time. This creates technological
fears as it is very frustrating to store information and busy work schedules. In addition to providing
technical training, support training is provided with staff regarding the privacy features of
information produced and easily accessible.

3. Technological obsolescence: Another challenge facing the technology sector is speed technology
expires. Soon after the adjustment to the new technology there may be new technologies emerging,
which restore the hotel to its old use technical version. This becomes even more difficult when
hardware also needs to be switched to new technologies compared to just software (McCarthy,
2018).

4. Expense costs: Hotels prefer to invest in technology as long as they add value provided to the
customer. Decisions about investing in technology based on understanding the importance of
measuring the cost of technology with the cost of not using technology.

5. Maintaining Guest Privacy: The technology brought to guests at hotels may result problems. The
fact that hotels do not control end-point devices is a particular challenge, such as this a malicious
computer program can be easily imported. In addition, data stores containing a huge repository of
important information, they are high quality goals the attackers follow them. Internet access for the
visitor may be a weak point in hotel security. Attackers can monitor and track visitor activities and
view credit card details, user details and other sensitive data because they do not attack hotel
systems, many of these unseen works (Kansakar, Munir and Shabani, 2017).

 Unequal progress:

Indian tourism industry is experiencing unequal growth in various sectors like other forms of
tourism, lack of information about the tourist profile etc. The visitor is over you are aware of these
times and have a change in attitude about the services offered. They are more prone to other forms
of tourism such as farm tourism, rural tourism, health tourism, rural tourism, eco-tourism and
community-based tourism. Although India make progress in these areas but is slow, for example in
Kerala monsoon tourism a rich and attractive opportunity that not only helps to reduce the tourist
season but also ensures the full utilization of guest services and services (Patel, 2012).

 Poor Organization:

The tourism and tourism industries are divided, and the business of this consists of a few companies,
no single firm has such a large market share to have one type of food price adjustment. (Travelers &
Travel: Introduction, 2013). Advertising in the hotel industry there must be new and appropriate
marketing strategies to be adopted in order to increase hotel fees. Another important area to work
on is firmness laws and taxes imposed by regional governments improperly in the tourism industry
which has a negative impact on the growth of tourists in the country (On the expectations of large
hotels from the government, 2011).
