Wild weather

In nature we can find some natural disasters produced by wild weather.

Some examples are:

- DROUGHT: It happens when there's a little or no precipitation for a long time.

A drought can cause some problems:

* The soil and the groundwater dry up.

* Fertile land become infertile.
* Plants and animals can die.

- FLOOD: It happens when there is precipitation over a long period of time or a heavy precipitation
over a short period of time and water stays on the surface of the Earth.

Floods can destroy farmer's crops, livestocks and leave people without home.

- THUNDERSTORMS: They occur when warm air raises and then cools quickly. The water vapour
condenses and forms huge, dark clouds. In a thunderstorm, it rains a lot and we can see lightnings
and hear thunders.

- HURRICANES: They are formed in warm,wet air above warm seas and oceans. Hurricanes bring
very strong winds and heavy rains. They are very dangerous.

- TORNADOES: They occur when wind rotates violently and forms a spinning column. They are
formed between the ground and a huge cloud
