Single/ bi-wiring
For bi-wiring purposes amphion
xenon is equipped with two pairs
of binding posts. Depending on
the market area the speakers
can be delivered with lintel
installed or separately. In case
the two pairs of binding posts are
attached with lintel for single amphion loudspeakers ltd, finland

the lintels can be removed as

follows:
1. Place a rod through the binding
post hole.

2. Turn counter-clockwise couple of

rounds to loosen the binding post.
Not to be used for connecting
speakers to amplifier

3. Remove the lintel.

4. Tighten the binding post by
turning them clockwise.
5. Reverse the steps to put the
lintel back for single wiring.

Stands
amphion xenon loudspeakers are
equipped with stands, which
isolate the speaker from the floor
and improve stability.
The stands are fastened to holes,
which are located at the bottom of
the speaker.
Stands can be equipped with
neoprene pieces (included), which
prevent scratching the floor or with
spikes, which are directly screwed
into the stands.
Positioning
the speaker
xenons should be positioned as
adviced in the picture. Please note
that we do not recommend to aim
speakers directly towards the listener,
but slightly outside the shoulder area.
The final positioning and identical
aim of the speaker depend on the
room boundaries and naturally also
personal taste. If the speakers need
to positioned close to the walls, we
recommend aiming the speakers
more slightly inward toward the
listening seat, but still not directly at
the listener.

Usually the bass units should fire
away from the closest boundary. If
the speaker needs to be placed
close to the wall we recommend
aiming the bass units inwards. If
rooms boundaries permit try
aiming the bass units outside. The
final placement will depend on the
taste and we recommend trying
both alternatives. Please
remember that listening to music is
a personal thing and therefore
these positioning instructions act as
guidelines only. Experiment with the
positioning and find a position and
aim which you prefer, even if it
does not correlate with the
guidelines.

amphion xenon is equipped with
BAS- (Bass Adjustment System),
which allows tuning the bass for
different room environments. The
bass adjustment can be done
as follows:

and blocking the reflex tube.
Bass level will be lowered by
further 1.5dB.
The bass level can be lowered
by maximum of about 3 dB from
the highest level.
IMPORTANT, PLEASE NOTE: The lowest pair of binding posts are only meant
for BAS-system. Do not attach speaker cables to these binding posts.
