Chapter 5

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

The purpose of this chapter is to summarize the findings that emerged from the

study; what the study suggested, revealed or indicated. This usually refers to the totality

of outcomes, rather than the conclusions or recommendation drawn from them.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

From the foregoing analysis and interpretation made, the following findings

drawn are presented:

1. Respondents Profile Described in terms of:

1.1 Age.

1.2 Gender.

1.3 Employment.

1.4 Civil status.

1.5 Highest education attainment.

2. Effect of alternative learning to the selected instructors and professors

with their students at University of Caloocan City as to:

2.1 Teaching Performance.

2.2 Communication effectiveness between instructors/ professors and

students

3. Hindrances encountered by the selected instructors and professors at

University of Caloocan City during e-learning.


4. Solutions Maybe Proposed to Solve the Problems Encountered:

CONCLUSIONS

Based from the summary of findings, the following conclusions are drawn:

1. Majority of the respondents with ages 17-18 years old, are male. There are

equal respondents from Grade 11 and Grade 12 and are classified in the

level of “poor” status.

2. Listening attentively, appreciating math subject and studying harder are the

factors that affect the students’ performance.

3. Difficulty remembering math theorems, concepts, and formulas and

sequences are mostly the problem/difficulty encountered by the respondents.

4. Parents/children relationship at home and school preparedness in accepting

enrolees has been a factor that affect students’ performance in their

mathematics class.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Based on the gathered data the summary of findings and the conclusions

presented, this study came up with the following recommendations:

1) Students should improve their concentration, Do advance reading.


2) Teachers should provide more teaching provide more teaching strategies

according to the multiple intelligence of the students.

3) Parents should provide time to their children. Support and encourage their

children to express their feelings and problems in their academics.

4) School should be prepared in accepting enrollees so that the classroom

will not be crowded or overpopulated.

5) Students should participate actively in class discussion and extra-

curricular activities.
