EST-25 & Display Unit

1. Possible (driving) conditions shown on two alphanumeric display segments:

Left display field

indicates driving direction 'N', 'F' or 'R'. No other alphanumeric symbols are possible (i. e.
programmed).
When pre-selected driving direction gear is not actually engaged (e. g. overspeed condition) then
digit is flashing (valid for software versions V22 and higher).

Right display field

normally shows digits 1,2.. , representing engaged gear (in forward and reverse direction)
respectively internal pre-selected gear (in gear selector neutral position, also road-speed
dependant).
When a gear is selected but actually not engaged due to special features (e. g. active pressure
cut-off, or too high turbine rpm when trying to engage a gear out of neutral position) then right
display field will be blank (' '), indicating that power train is open.
When pre-selected gear is not actually engaged (e. g. overspeed condition) then digit is flashing.

Special features:

'NN':
It means 'waiting for gear selector neutral position' ('Not Neutral') and will be indicated when
ingnition is switched on while selector is not in neutral position.
When error indication on display is disabled then 'NN' also is displayed when any error occurs
which 'normally' would lead to a (driving program) reset and be indicated by an error number.
Errors which release no reset are not indicated at all (error nos. 02/42/10/50/21/61) in this case.

'EE':
Is indicated when display has time-out, i. e. gets no data from EST.
Mainly reasons: EST is in TOTAL RESET mode (due to output line-cut off or external power
supply at lines to the gear solenoid valves) or is without power or data wire is not properly
connected.

2. Monkey Wrench:
Starts flashing when an error has occured. Error can be read (alternating with 'normal' display
indication) when gear lever is switched to neutral position.

3. Left side segment ('bars and arrows'):

Indication is matter of programming. Standards are (if applicable)

- symbol when lock-up is engaged

- symbol for 'automatic' mode

flashing symbol when in kick-down mode

The Transmission controls EST-17T, EST-19, EST-25 und EST-26 are compatible
with the controls EST117, EST119, EST125 und EST126!

But they will replaced as follows:

EST-17T = EST117
EST-19 = EST119
EST-25 = EST125
EST-26 = EST126

So the „Blue Book“ is also useable for the new transmission controls.
