Simple Maintenance

Simple maintenance uses a tree structure, which allows you to create a basic framework for
organizational plans, using streamlined procedures, in this way, one can create ones organizational
and reporting structures step by step.

SAP business Workflow users do not need all the functions available in organization management.
For this reason, the original concept behind simple maintenance was to provide a tool that allows
users to build and maintain organization plans, with speed and simplicity. For organizational
management users, simple maintenance is best used to establish the basic framework in the
organizational plan development.

Expert mode

The expert mode is an interface that is ideal for maintaining details, individual objects are selected
using the object manager.

Info-types for that particular object can now be maintained.

Transaction code PP01 can be used to maintain all object types.

Note: Due to authorization restrictions, you may not have access to PP01. Instead, you have to use
one of the following transections, which restrict access to one particular object type.

 PO10 – Organizational unit

 PP03 – Job
 PO13 – Position
 PO01 – work center
Organization and staffing

The organization and staffing transection is the easiest way to mange SAP HR – OM (organizational
Management) for an end – user who does not have an in – dept technical knowledge of SAP.

This is a user – friendly transaction accessible via human resources > organizational management >
Organizational plan > Organizational and staffing
