2021 ONE HEALTH WEEK CELEBRATION

1. In reference to DepEd OUA Memo 00-00821-0218 titled Scheduled/Suggested

Activities During the One Health Week Celebration on 6-11 September
2021, the field is hereby enjoined to participate in this event to promote and
highlight the DepEd’s flagship programs under the Oplan Kalusugan sa DepEd
(OK sa DepEd):

a) School Based Feeding Program (SBFP)

b) National Drug Education Program (NDEP)
c) Adolescent Reproductive Health Education (ARH)
d) School Mental Health
e) Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in Schools (WinS), and
f) Medical, Dental, and Nursing Services.

2. The theme for the celebration is “Bayanihan para sa Kalusugan: OK sa

DepEd, sa Paaralan, at sa Tahanan”, emphasizing how partnerships for
school health are essential to support the new school year that will remain under
the “new normal” set-up.

3. Each day of the One Health Week will showcase sets of activities that shall focus
on a specific OK sa DepEd flagship program.

4. In this regard, all SDO and school personnel, learners, partners, and other
stakeholders are invited to virtually participate in these national activities that
will be streamed via the DepEd Philippines Facebook Page and cross-posted in
the DepEd Tayo Cordillera Facebook Page.

Furthermore, the 2021 One Health Week Celebration will also be streamed thru
DepEd Tayo Abra - School Health Section Facebook Page.

6. Relatively, as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 28, s. 2018, the schools shall
designate a Clinic Teacher who will shall take the lead in the conduct and
participation of the One Health Week activities.

7. A report on the number of learners, teachers and other personnel participated in

various virtual activities during the One Health Week shall be submitted to the
District Nurse for consolidation and to be submitted to the School Health Section
on or before October 1, 2021.

9. Immediate dissemination of and compliance with this Memorandum is directed.
