From the given industries I have chosen E retailing industry to work with.

In my data the 5-sample hypothesis that includes is Delivery Time of different

e-commerce companies. The five different e retailing websites I have chosen are
Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Myntra and Ajio.

Every website is having specialist in different sections:

1. Flipkart Furnitures
2. Amazon Books
3. Myntra Clothing and apparel
4. Snapdeal Household stuff
5. Ajio Clothing and apparel

All this above-mentioned companies claims themselves best for the delivery
options and return facility. So, I will be using Delivery Time as my Null
Hypothesis(H0).

Null Hypothesis(H0) for different e-commerce websites is mentioned below:

1. Flipkart 2-3 Business days

2. Amazon 1 day delivery or 2/more-days delivery
3. Myntra within 7 days
4. Snapdeal 3-5 days
5. Ajio 3-6 Business days

Assumption:
Level of Significance: 95%
Alternate Hypothesis:
1. I have used the consumer reviews from their own websites about delivery
times
2. Alternate Hypothesis(H1) for the different ecommerce websites is
mentioned below
COMPANY MENTIONS CUSTOMER REVIEW
AMAZON: 1 days for metro cities, 2-7 days for other
1 day delivery or 2/more-days delivery places
FLIPKART: 3-7 days normally, during sale period its
2-3 Business days <10 days
MYNTRA: 6-10 days normally
within 7 days
SNAPDEAL: 7-12 days delivery time, sometimes it gets
3-5 days more delayed
AJIO: 3-4 days delivery.
3-6 Business days

To conclude my results which I have collected and solved are as follows:

1. AMAZON: The metro city customers are happy with the company claims
so the null hypothesis is accepted.
2. FLIPKART: The customers are satisfied with the company claims so the
null hypothesis is accepted.
3. MYNTRA: The customers are not satisfied because the delivery time is
more with the company claims so the alternate hypothesis is accepted.
4. AJIO: The customers are satisfied with the company claims so the null
hypothesis is accepted.
5. SNAPDEAL: Delivery time is almost double as mentioned by the
companies so customer is dissatisfied for the company claim, therefore
the null hypothesis is accepted.
