Zalix (The Eternal Sky Plane)

This plane has no oor and no gravity yet exists parallel to our own. From Zalix all objects
and people on the material plane exist as distorted shadows and misty gures in their
relative locations. Objects in Zalix are not visible to those on the material plane and objects
one either plane cannot interact with those on the other which means that an adventure
who can easily travel between planes could use this to pass through objects or people on
the material plane completely unnoticed.
Black lightning thunders through the air (dealing 5d8 lighting damage and 1d12 force
damage if it hits a creature in this plane). The stars that always shine above and constant
lightning have earned this plane of existence the title of Eternal Sky Plane.
There are no known beings that inhabit such a desolate space although very little
exploration has been done in the Eternal Sky plane due to the di culty of movement which
is owed to the lack of ground. The most common method of movement through Zalix is to
tie a rope around one s waist and to a sturdy object on the material plane before jumping
through a portal between them (due to the lack of gravity creatures tend to glide until the
rope stops them), this way one can always pull oneself out, unless the rope gets severed.
The aforementioned black lightning is intensely magical and can be harnessed (in very
small amounts) to be applied to weapons or potions to give them to ability to electrocute
the target dealing 1d_(of DM s choice) additional lightning damage. It is also collectable in
magical containers, such as bags of holding, and can be unleashed to shoot the bolt back
out by opening the magical container. If on another plane of existence the lightning instead
deals 20d12 lightning damage and 5d12 force damage; the bolt then dissipates and cannot
be used again and there is a 25% chance that this destroys the magical container.
