The COM600 computer is designed for mounting at a control panel with the wallmount kit.

There are two ways of connecting to the Gateway computer.
Locally by connecting a keyboard, a mouse, and a display directly to the Gateway
computer.
By using the Remote Desktop via the LAN.

Two User Accounts are predefined in the COM600 Computer:
Administrator Password: pwd2004 (Account disabled by default)
COM600 Password: aEc2006rs
The same COM600 user and password must be created to the computer with the
Communication Engineering Tool to access the COM600 computer to be able to make
changes to the configuration.
The SAB600 tool prompts for a new password for the COM600 user the first time it
connects to the COM600.
There is the possibility to add more users to the Gateway computer if needed.

In Windows XP it is possible to run a program with different credentials

There are two Network Cards in the Gateway computer.
The Local port has no firewall configured and it allows complete access to the
COM600 computer.
The Remote port has a firewall pre-configured to allow only communication with web
clients and remote communication using IEC 870-5-104 and DNP 3.0 LAN/WAN

Configuring the Substation structure is the main task when configuring the HMI
functionality.
If connectivity packages or IED SCL description files with substation structure information
are used, most of the substation structure can be built automatically when the IEDs are
added to the communication structure.

Process data is modeled according to the IEC 61850 standard in the Communication
structure.
In the communication structure this is seen as logical devices (LD), logical nodes (LN),
and data objects (DO).

Build the Communication Structure by adding objects to the object tree.
Before an OPC Client can be taken into use, an OPC server has to be configured.

Communication Structure:

Add the objects in the following order:
OPC server object.
Channel/Subnetwork object.
IED object.
Use the connectivity package or SCL description file to automatically build the structure
below the IED.
The Substation structure is automatically generated with the primary apparatus
objects described in connectivity package or SCL description.
The CET tool may ask some information to finalize the Substation structure e.g.
Substation name, voltage level, and bay name.

Add the objects in the following order:
OPC server object.
Channel/Subnetwork object.
IED object.
Logical device object(s).

Each configurable object, such as server and channel/subnetwork object can be
configured with object properties.
The configuration settings define the addresses and types of data in the device providing
the data.

The SLD Editor can be opened by selecting SLD Editor on the Substation, Voltage level,
busbar or bay object.
The higher level contains the layout of the lower level
With the SLD Editor it is possible to add objects to the Single Line Diagram from the
symbol library, modify existing objects, and specify electrical connections.

Place Connectivity Nodes between switches and transformers that will be connected.

By applying a Hot Line Tag to a switching device (for example, Circuit breaker), the
device is blocked from open and close control from remote or local HMI.

7.1 General
The COM600 data historian is a relational database designed and optimized for process
information management and extensive history recording.

Vtrin is a user interface client that connects to RTDB (Real Time DataBase) in the
COM600 computer. History values can be displayed in graphical form, for example as
trends. Vtrin is started from COM600 Web HMI.

On the first logon the Vtrin client is installed and the logon display is displayed.
In the Location drop-down menu, select the RTDB-COM600 you want to connect to. The
database name consists of the name of the computer or the IP address and the
database.

When logging in, depending on the user rights, available tools are visible in the Tree view
on the left.
The administrator's Tree view contains Maintenance tools, such as templates for various
trends, and report templates.
Vtrin administrator defines what is shown for normal users, for example, predefined or
preconfigured trend views.

The custom toolbar is located below the Vtrin toolbar and it needs to be enabled from
View menu.
User-specific: each user can customize a toolbar according to his or her needs, which
are displayed whenever the user connects to the database.
A button can be added to the custom toolbar by dragging the window icon to the toolbar.

The Tree window shows the system’s windows (charts) in a hierarchical tree structure.
The tree contains folders, which, in turn, include other folders (subfolders) and windows.
The windows display lists, tables, charts, process diagrams, and reports.

The Logic Processor function enables developing customer-specific automated
applications for COM600.
Applications are programmed using the IEC 61131-3 logic editor (CoDeSys, Control
Development System).

Logic Processor IED must be added to the communication structure before starting the Logic
Processor CoDeSys programming environment.
A default POU (Program Organization Unit) PLC_PRG is available in the structure tree,
under Application, when CoDeSys is first time opened.

Tagging
While we are testing HMI let’s try the tagging functions as well.
1. Log into the HMI and open control dialog for Circuit Breaker.
2. Open Hot Line Tag tab, write Caption and Comments. Disable Block
Status Update. You need to give also min. 4 characters password to be
able to Apply. Use some easily memorable password, e.g. training,
because it’s needed when you remove the Tag.
3. Open the Switch State tab and confirm that the control of CB is blocked.
Change the CB status from simulator and confirm that status is updated
(we disabled the blocking for update).
4. Try the Information Tag same way. Information Tag is only informative,
so it does not block any operations.

First check that both objects are closed (Pos\stVal = 2) by selecting Pos
and opening Online diagnostic
You can simulate other combinations. Change the Group Alarm Logic and
add other criteria, e.g. start signal form protection functions.
