In Call of Duty, Warzone, the cheaters are ruining their game and forcing various professional
players to abandon it. Cheat software and game hacks are being used in the battle royale hit
and have left the community of millions of players feeling frustrated with the lack of attention
from publisher Activision and developers Raven Software and Infinity Ward.

Today, that frustration boiled over to the point that organizations decided to take action,
banning about 60 thousand accounts in a single day and issuing the official promise of zero
tolerance for cheaters. In addition, developer Raven software is highly permitted to
communicate frequently with situations, offering monthly updates at the minimum updates.

Here we begin!

Cheating in the world’s top PC games are getting worse over the past year, and wallhacks and
aimbots are now increasingly common in the most competitive shooters in the industry. The
aimbots will automatically lock the opponent's head, making it easier to wipe out the waves of
players. The wallhacks expose everyone on the map, so cheaters attain the massive advantage
by knowing where their opponents are all the time.

In the battle royale games, that asks their players to spend sometimes between 20-30 minutes
playing a match, losing to the cheater that can be frustrating.

Cheating has also reached the breaking point for some who mainly play Warzone, and
YouTuber Vikkstar 123 quitted the game last week after the cheater was using aimbots and
wallhacks and streaming to Facebook gaming.

The cheater was a part of the level-up program of Facebook, so they are able to stream the
game cheat freely, and make money doing so. Facebook has also demonetized the cheater, but
since the organization didn’t ban them, the streamer continued with the blatant wallhacks
enabled some hours ago.

The Youtuber Vikkstar is not alone in the frustrations, and the 250 thousand dollars Warzone
tournament was rocked by accusations of cheating them last month when the rival high profile
players accused the Canadian player of using the aimbot, that got denied by the player. It led to
the situation where the members of esport organization 100 thieves searched via the computer
of the accused player live in Twitch to find the cheating software.
Prominent warzone players like YouTuber Drift0r or Nickmercs have also been highly vocal
about the rise of Warzone cheating. This latest round of the outcries follows several months of
issues with hacking in the game, where the players have regularly spotted people using
wallhacks and aimbots and sharing the clips on tik and Reddit.

The response from the infinity ward and Activision has lacked urgency. Activision made it clear
that it has a zero-tolerance capacity for Warzone cheaters nearly a year ago when it moved to
ban thousands of players. By October, Infinity ward revealed that it had banned over 200
thousand accounts for cheating across modern warfare and warzone, and the activation says it
has now banned 300 thousand accounts as of today.

There have been numerous promises of additional security updates and added backend
enforcement tools, but various players feel like there is not enough to combat the issues.

Cheating is not a problem exclusive to a warzone, and various popular games like Destiny 2,
PUBG, Valorant, and many more titles have been experiencing some high levels of cheating
recently. People are also cheating in various games like among Us and Fall Guys, where the
aimbots are unnecessary.

It might seem that this cheating surge is limited to only computer gaming, but it will also extend
to some of the game consoles. Cheaters can also purchase some especially modded controllers
to attain the edge in games, improving the aim assist, gun recoil, and many more.

The CronusMAX is one of the popular games across Xbox and PlayStation, and it allows the
players to run millions of mods, scripts, exploits, and macros to automate and improve the
gameplay.

The biggest and the most massive problem that the industry faces is tackling this collectively,
and various game developers are using various anti-cheat solutions, but it is a cat and mouse
game against the hackers who are developing such cheats. So it is really much like the game
developers and malware industry, who have to be on top of detecting many new cheats with a
sense of urgency.

Game developers are somehow too slow to respond to blatant cheating or do not do enough to
communicate with the communities that are frustrated by most of the cheating issues like this.
With hackers generating huge sums from selling the cheats, it increasingly looks like an issue
that will worsen before it gets any better.
