Introduction

Like it or not, we know you probably don’t know much about Spanish cuisine other than tapas and paella, perhaps
some wine, but that’s why you’re here, right? With our help, you’ll learn everything you need to know about one of
the best cuisines in the world in 25 easy recipes you can make at home for a delicious breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Whether you’re by yourself or wanting to impress your friends and family, we’re confident these recipes are
everything you need to come off as a true international foodie, so let’s get started!
The first thing we need you to do, though, forgets about tapas and paella. Sure, they’re nice and all, but everyone’s
heard of them. If you want to make an impression, you’ve got to think outside the box and immerse yourself in their
cuisine and all of their ingredients. Fortunately, they won’t be hard to find because most grocery stores carry all
sorts of spices. You don’t need to start stressing out. We promise we’ve made sure our recipes use the most basic
ingredients so that all-level cooks can complete our recipes without the need to splurge at a deli-store for a bunch of
expensive ones and imported ingredients. Hence, the “Wannabe” is in the name of this book. We know you’re
trying to be a Spaniard, but you may have to substitute a few things here and there, like your bone structure,
heritage, and a few spices. But it’s nothing too drastic, right?
So, what are we making today? We’d actually like to start the day with some Corn Kernel Patties and a Spanish
Panini, please. By lunchtime, we were also hoping to have some Spanish Rice with Sausages. And for dinner, the
Beef Casserole with Onions. Oh, and some Milk Rice Pudding for dessert! We know you’re not a restaurant, but we
figured you needed to get started somewhere, right? Besides, if we’re not the ones pushing you to cook, who will?

Methods:
1. Heat oil into the frying pan on low heat.
2. Mix codfish, bay leaf, onion, garlic cloves, and red bell pepper with salt and pepper.
3. Make small round balls or patties out of the mixture. Set aside.
4. Mix milk, eggs, and flour into the bowl.
5. Dip the fish balls into the batter and then into the breadcrumbs.
6. Place the balls into the pan. Cook for 15 minutes.

Methods:
1. Make a triangular cut to the bread and apply oil on it. Keep the heat low while you do all this.
2. Now, put the cheese on one side of the slice and then cover it with onion, spinach, and tomato. Add salt and
pepper to taste.
3. Now, put the other slice on top of it and place the whole bread in the maker. Turn off the stove and then let it
cook for about 2-3 minutes. When done, carefully take it out and enjoy the yummy toasty Panini.

Methods:
1. Take the pan and heat it lightly with melting butter in it. Keeping the flame low, take the slice of the bread and
place the small cup in the middle of it by making a round shape right in between the slice.
2. Now, take the remaining round piece and keep it aside. In that hole of the slice, break the egg and let it cook from
the bottom. Now take out the cup and flip the whole slice.
3. The egg should be attached to the slice as it is cooked from one side. The other side would take a minute to be
cooked. Take it off the pan and serve on a plate. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
Ripe Plantain Cheesy Patty

Cheese (shredded) (low fat) – 2 tablespoons

Methods:
1. Heat the oven to 350°F. Cover the baking dish with the oil, or if you have spray, make it more convenient for
you. The whole dish should be mildly moist with the oil.
2. Take a pot and cook all the main ingredients, such as onion, squash, and pimientos. Make sure to cook the
vegetables since you will keep them all in the oven to bake them at the end.
3. Now, when the vegetables are boiled, take them out of the water. Add all the ingredients together, and then add
the salt and pepper to taste.
4. Take all the mixture and pour it all into the casserole baking dish. Now cook it for about 40 minutes in the oven.
5. When cooked, take it out and let it cool a bit, then it is ready to eat.
Beef Casserole with Onions

Duration: 40 minutes

Butter – 2 tablespoons
Onions (chopped) – 2
Garlic (chopped) – 2
Bay Leaf – 1
Thyme – 2 tablespoons
Mushrooms – 2 cups
Oil as needed
Steak (cut into dices) – 1 lb.

Beef broth – 2 cups
Wine (red) – 2 cups
Sauce – 2 tablespoons
Sour Cream (low fat) – 2 tablespoons

Methods:
1. Take out the pan and add the butter to melt in it. Now add the chopped onions, garlic, and bay leaf to cook.
2. Add salt and pepper as desired. Cook this until light brown, add the thyme at the end, and cook it for five more
minutes. Now, put the mushrooms and keep the heat low.
3. After it is cooked, take it out in a bowl and keep it separate. Now make the sauces by getting them all together
and cook them for about 5 minutes.
4. Once you are done with that, take the sour cream and mix it all together. Take the beef mixture and wash it with
water. Then keep it on low heat with the red wine in it because that helps the beef cook faster.
5. Once it is cooked, take it off and keep it separate. Melt the cheese and spread it over the cooked beef. Mix
everything and season it with parsley. Serve it hot with buns.
The Cheesy Beef Casserole

Duration: 40 minutes

Cream (low fat) – 2 tablespoons
Chicken (chopped) – 1 lb.

Methods:
1. Heat the pan on the light heat and then melt the butter in it. Add the onion and garlic and cook it. Later on, add
mushrooms to it and wait until it is cooked light brown.
2. Cook for about a minute and then add cream and broth to it. Make it a thick paste. When you think it is ready,
then take it off the heat.
3. On the other hand, turn on the oven to 350°F and spray the oil in it. Now add the cream which you cooked,
spread the beef.
4. Make sure to combine it all in the baking dish and place it in the oven. In the middle, take it out and add cheese
to it. After that, cook for 10 more minutes and take it out to eat.
Ham Casserole with Vegetables

Duration: 40 minutes

Green pepper (sliced) 2
Ham Diced (cooked) 1 lb.
Onion (sliced) – 1
Celery (sliced) – 1
Half and half cream (low fat) – 1 tablespoon

Cheese (low fat) 2 cups

Methods:
1. Cover the dish with butter and turn on the oven to 325°F. Heat the flame and add butter to the pan. As it gets
warm, add onion and make sure they turn soft.
2. Add the green pepper as well as the carrots to be cooked. Now you can add the salt and pepper to taste as well.
Cut the carrots into slices, and then make sure to cook them separately as well.
3. Pour all this into the baking dish and then dress it with cheese. Cook it in the oven for about 45 minutes and
check if the cheese is browning.
4. You will get to know when its delicious smell cooks it. Once cooked, it is ready to be served hot.

Methods:
1. Get a pan and cook the milk, cream, and bay leaf in it. On the other side, turn on the oven to 350°F. Now when it
has boiled, take out the milk and cream mixture aside for a while.
2. You have to cook the bacon slices until they look crispy. Also, cook the spinach lightly in the same pan, but
make sure it does not mash in between. Add salt and pepper as of your taste. When it is down, take it out in the
bowl and keep it aside to cool.
3. Now, in the same pan, add butter and melt it. Cook the onions and garlic until they look tender to you. Put cheese
and the lemon juice and stir it all. Now you have 3 separate things.
4. You need to add all this into the baking dish and cook in the oven for about 30-40 minutes. If you wish, you can
add more cheese to the baking dish to make it delicious. Once cooked, let it cool for 10 minutes then it is ready to
serve.

After working as a chef in different establishments, Layla moved on to become a chef-trainer to several up-and-
